9. - My First Evolution?

It felt like ages passed by. It was completely dark for a very, very long time.
I couldn't hear anything, see anything and even strangely, feel anything.

It felt like I had died again.

However, eventually I finally managed to spring awake.

"Cheese and Meatballs! What the?!"

I looked around confused.

'Oh right- I was fighting in this dungeon and then...'

Before I could finish my thought, I was interrupted by the usual voice inside my head.

Evolution successful.

You have evolved to '' Lesser Serpentine ''.

Individual Skill '' Venom Shocker '' acquired.

Common Skill '' Inspector '' has evolved into Rare Skill '' Mage ''.

...What?

I evolved? But how?

I tried to recall what had happened before I passed out.
I was fighting this bird like monster and after killing it, leveled up to level 30... And then.. I passed out.

Perhaps hitting level 30 was the cause for my evolution?
But that couldn't be right... If that was how it was, then I'd be pretty much almost like I was some kind of Pokémon or something.

I recalled how before passing out, the voice in my head said that certain 'requirements' had been met for evolution.

I wonder what those requirements were..

Well, whatever - what mattered more was that I was still alive, despite being very much vulnerable during evolution.

Actually... If I evolved, then maybe my appearance changed?

Looking around, I tried to spot anything I could use as a quick 'mirror', however I was disappointed to not find anything that could serve such purpose.

No glass, no puddle - nothing.

'I suppose I'll see what I look like now when I get out of here..'

I thought before looking around, spotting the dead monster birds corpse not that far from me.

Oh yeah! I was going to use 'Devourer' on it before I passed out!

I should probably do that now, just to get the exp and Magical Energy bonus.

Quickly moving closer to the monsters corpse, I used 'Devourer' to quickly "devour" its soul and magical energy.

After doing so, I looked around again.

'Not much else to do here... I guess I'll just continue..'

Before I finished my thought, I remembered one more thing - My stats.
If I had truly evolved, perhaps my stats had changed?

I mean, they most likely went up - but surely it was a bit more tame this time around, right?

Well, either way, I should brace to see some unreal numbers.

After a bit of hesitation, I exhaled.

"Open Status."

I said.
The window popped up immediately afterwards. At first, I didn't want to look, however after a moment, I took a look at my stats, before basically shooting my eyes out in shook.
