The words flow in my head as I write them down while they're fresh in my mind.

"Hey, Honey." Thomas popped out of nowhere. I shut my book quickly and tried to act casual.

"Oh hi, Thomas." I could even hear the nervousness in my voice.

"What are you writing."

"Nothing." I hide the book behind my back.

"Come on let me see." He managed to grab the book and read it. "Is this poetry?"

"Songs," I corrected. "now please give it back." I reached for the book but he kept reading it.

"Terra can you sing?"

"Maybe." I was so embarrassed.

"Oh my god you have to sing at the bonfire tonight."

"No I can't."

"Please? For me." His brown puppy eyes were my only weakness.

"Fine. But Newt has to play the guitar."

"Works with me. See you singing like a canary soon." He kissed my cheek.

It took a lot of convincing to my brother Newt but he agreed to play the guitar. He's not the guy to draw attention. He called everyone so we could preform. Nervous? Hell yes but I just looked at Thomas. Newt began strumming the guitar. I pushed the air from my diaphragm to projects voice.

Everyone clapped even Gally. Who always hated me. Thomas ran up and hugged me. I mouthed "thanks" to Newt. He nodded back.

"I didn't know I was dating a senior. I love that song."

"Thank you Tommy. I love you."

"I love you too, and I'll be your everything."
