Why did you leave me?

"I'm going to kill you!"
Peter just laughed.
"Why did you leave me?!" Edmund exclaimed. "You were making just as much noise as I was yet I'm the one who had to listen to the teacher ramble on for five minutes about how noisy I was and how I should respect other people."
Peter laughed harder. "She sure can talk." He agreed.
"Yes, she can." Edmund said, glaring at his brother. "So why on earth did you decide to leg it the second she came over, and leave me to deal with it?"
Peter shrugged. "Cause it was funny." He said. "Besides, you could've run too."
"I didn't get the chance." Edmund argued. "She was determined to tell one of us off and that just happened to be me."
Peter grinned. "No hard feelings." He said happily enough.
Edmund rolled his eyes. "You're lucky your my brother." He grumbled.
"And I'm lucky you love me." Peter teased with a wide smile.
Edmund scoffed. "I'm not so sure about that."
