Turn on the light••••••••
"Rise and shine!"
Edmund was rudely awoken to his overly happy older brother, and he was not pleased at all.
He groaned, rolling over and pulling the blanket up to his chin. "Shut up." He grumbled, words slurred.
"You gotta get up," Peter told him. "First day back at school."
"No." Edmund grumbled.
"That's not an answer." Peter said, walking across the room.
"Turn on the light and I will kill you." Edmund warned.
"You'd try, and you'd fail." Peter said, before he flicked the light on, brightening the once dark room.
Edmund groaned, burying his face under his covers. "That hurt." He complained.
"You'll live." Came Peter's reply. "Now come on, you can't be late on the first day, that's a stupid way to set up the rest of the year."
"I hate school anyway." Edmund told him.
"Who doesn't?" Peter said. "But that doesn't mean you just don't go."
"Wish it did." Edmund muttered. "School should be a choice."
"If it was a choice hardly anyone would go." Peter said. "Now get going, or I'll get Susan in here."
He heard Peter leave the room, and sighed, it was gonna be a long day.
