Eyes never lie••••••
"You may think you're good at hiding things Ed, but there's one key thing that gives you away." Peter said, crossing his arms.
"What?" Edmund asked stubbornly.
"Ever heard of the saying Eyes Never Lie?" Peter asked. "Your eyes hold more emotion than you think they do."
"Oh don't get all weird and sappy." Edmund deflected.
"I'm not!" Peter said. "It's a well known fact! You can always tell how people are feeling by the look in their eyes, if they're looking at someone they're in love with, you'll know it. If they're looking at someone they're scared of, you'll know it. If they're looking at someone they hate, you'll know it."
Edmund blinked at him. "Well I'm fine so it clearly doesn't work all the time." He said firmly.
"You know I don't believe you right?" Peter told him. "I'm not stupid. Even if your eyes didn't give it away, I know you too well."
Edmund sighed, "I'm going to the library." He muttered, standing from his seat.
Peter decided to let him do what he wanted, nodding. "Well when you're ready to finally talk I'll be right here." He told his brother. "And I hope for your sake that time is soon, you can't suffer in silence forever Ed."
"I don't suffer in silence." Edmund grumbled under his breath as he left the room.
Peter sighed sadly, worried.
But he'd be back.
Peter knew he would.
