Visiting the graveyard

•••••••

Susan tried visiting the graveyard every week, but the thing is, she didn't know whether she liked going or not.

She liked it in the sense that it was one of the only ways she could feel close to her siblings, it was a place she could go to talk to them.

But on the other hand, it was just a painful reminder that they were gone, and that she would never see them again.

Some weeks were fine, she'd go down there, usually with a bunch of flowers and just sit and talk, or she'd just sit in silence, thinking back on all the happy memories.

Other weeks were entirely different and she'd end up sobbing, questioning how this ever could've happened and wanting to know why they had died in such a horrible way and all at such a young age.

She missed them all something awful, and grief was a funny, funny thing. It worked in many different ways and affected her more on some days than it did others.

But nothing changed the fact that there were once four of them, and now there was only one... Left alone, with no one to hold her.
