Lauren's POV:

I slowly opened my eyes to see I was in a hospital bed. I looked back and forth and saw I was in a room alone. I felt something heavy on my arm and looked to see I had a huge purple cast on my arm. Ew.

The door creaked open to reveal a short brown haired lady. I'm guessing she was the nurse as she smiled brightly at me.

"Hi Sweety. How are you feeling?" She asked nicely handing me a pill and a glass of water.

"Okay I guess. What happened?"I asked drinking the water.

"You lost to much blood and fainted at the receptionist desk. Your arm was broken in three places so they went ahead and proceeded in surgery. You have two pins in your elbow since that was the main place. Now may I ask for your name?" She asked grabbing a clipboard.

"Lauren. Lauren Good. Did he ever bring her back?" I asked frantically.

"Who?" She asked confused. It hit me and I closed my mouth. He said not to say anything about him.

"Nothing. Can you just call My Dad and Nikki please?" I asked as my eyes welled up with tears.

"Of course sweetheart. But may I ask what happened?" She asked.

"I fell down the steps." I croaked out as she wrote it down on her clipboard.

"Alright. We're gonna contact your father to come pick you up. Just sit back and relax. You'll be out of here shortly." The nice lady smiled before leaving out of the room.

I couldn't hold them back anymore and the tears erupted from my eyes. They just fell down my cheeks like little waterfalls. This is fucked up. So fucked up. My life is fucking hell.

As soon as I'm reunited with My Mom, she's taken from me yet again. As soon as I'm on the same page as My Dad, I'm ripped away from him. I had been kidnapped by some fucktard that has no life.

God, why can't I just have a normal life? One like in the story books. A Mom, A Dad, and a girl. They all eat pizza together for dinner. All watch a movie and joke around with each other. But then again, fairy tales aren't real. There only good for the story books.

I guess my life never was normal. I never had A Dad. No grandparents. No friends, besides one. I only ever had A Mom and we'd be lucky enough to even eat a dinner together, besides on the weekends since she was off from work.

I laid my head back on the uncomfortable hospital pillow that felt like a thin piece of fabric. I stared up at the ceiling as the tears fell down my cheeks rapidly. They just wouldn't stop. I couldn't control them. Just like I couldn't control my life.

"Excuse me. Who are you?" I snapped my head up and towards the door.

"I'm the new nurse. You must be Charlene. I'm Kyle." I could recognize that voice from anywhere. Not by choice either. He was no fucking 'Kyle'.

"Well it's nice to meet you but I need to talk to my patient. I'll see you around and good luck with the new job." I heard my Nurse say before the doorknob jiggled a bit.

"Oh, Mike would like to see you in his office. He said it's an emergency. I'm supposed to take over this one." 'Kyle' claimed causing my eyes to widen.

"O-oh. O-okay. Um, well can you please tell her that her father is on his way here right now. He'll be here in about fifteen minutes." Footsteps followed her voice down the hall before it fell silent again.

The door knob jiggled before the door opened. My voice hitched in my throat as he stepped in the room and shut the door behind him.

"You didn't really think I was gonna leave you, did you? No, no, no. My dear, I couldn't let you ruin my master plan." Bryan chuckled lowly stepping towards my bed.
