I'm probably going to get killed for posting this but here it goes

"What's that?" Courtney appears from behind me after she takes a photo of some plants. We look ahead at the same thing; a castle-like tower. She stopped for a moment. "We should check it out"

"Let's do it" I shrug and follow after her. She soon stops and looks at me with a defeated smile. "There's a gate"

"Well let's climb over then" I poked her nose.

"Isn't that trespassing? It's kind of illegal, right?" Courtney asked.

I nodded. "Yes"

"Let's do it" she giggled. I smiled, placing my foot on a metal bar. With a little effort, I hauled myself over. Courtney was about to do the same when I stopped her. "What?!"

I grabbed my phone. "Carry on"

She shot me a smile, that reminded me of the days when we knew we liked each other but, didn't have the courage to plunge into a relationship. I feel like asking her out was one of my best decisions.

I took her hand once she was over the gate, and we continued to walk. It was silent, but the beauty of the scenery and the moment spoke for us.

At a given point, she ran on to get a good view of the castle, and potentially snap a picture. I stood there like an idiot, taking in her beauty.

"Ross!" She shouted, finally pulling me from my daze. "Let's go, baby"

"Sure" I followed after her as she entered through a broken window. It was dark inside, except from the higher floors, where the afternoon sun filtered in.

"Wow. I love it" I peered around, ignoring the dust. "Imagine redecorating this place, making it our little hideout, for us"

As I spoke, I placed one of her curls behind her ear and her arms found their way around me. I grinned. "That would be gorgeous, but, we can't move to Italy"

"Yeeeeeeeessss, but, just a thought and don't lie, you know you would like that too"

"I wouldn't like it" she then reached up and quickly kissed me. "I would absolutely love it, now come on"

We walked hand in hand through the few rooms and up the staircases, until we reached a balcony. Courtney looked at me. "Imagine if Romeo and Juliet occurred right here"

"This is place is much too small for a party-"

She hit my chest, pointing at the multiple couple names carved into stone. "Imagine!"

I grabbed a sharp-ish rock, engraving first a C followed by an R. My girlfriend smiled, yanking me into a hug. "You're cute"

"Thank you" I held her in my arms. "Let's get out of here, I feel like I need a shower because I'm covered in dust"

"Relatable" she chuckled. "Let's get groovin'"
