(Garroth)

I leaned on the railing, I had just knocked on Aphmau's door. Now I'm waiting for her to answer. Laurence told me they broke up, so that's the only thing I could think of that she would be crying about.

Aphmau opened the door, looking tired with bloodshot eyes. I immediately engulfed her into a hug.

"G-Garroth?" She asked with her face stuffed into my chest. She didn't hug back, which didn't surprise me, what surprised me was she didn't push me off.

"W-what are you doing...?" I placed a hand behind her head and stroked her hair.

"Tell me why you were crying last night"

I felt her body tense.  I held her at shoulders length and looked sternly into her hazel eyes.

"Tell me"

She looked down and tried to avoid eye contact. I gingerly held her chin and made her look into my eyes.

"Garroth...i-its early. Please, don't be such a nosey little celebrity right now" she pinched my nose, I couldn't help but chuckle

Adorable

"Please, I-I'm worried"

She sighed and wrapped her arms around my neck, giving me a warm hug.

Now this is surprising

"You don't have to worry about me, thank you for being cool about me calling so late"

"Was it cause Laurence broke up with you?" I finally asked

She hesitated but nodded.

"Uh...y-yeah, that's why"

I felt a few hot tears fall down the back of my neck. She was crying again. Her small tears turned into sobs, and she was crying into the crook of my neck. I picked her up bridal style and brought her into her house. I sat on the couch with her in my lap. She gripped my shirt and cried into my chest.

"I lied...I-I'm not c-crying over L-Laurence" she tripped over her words, "m-my e-ex, he...he showed up last night. A-asking for me b-back. I-I was just getting over him, a-and now he brought back e-emotions. H-he broke my heart all over a-again"

My skin boiled at her reason. Any man who makes her cry should pay. That's why I punched Laurene across the face. But he had nothing to do with it. I decided to make it up to him later.

After about fifteen minutes, her sobs turned into hiccups for air.

"I'm sorry about your shirt"

I couldn't help but chuckle.

"I couldn't care less about the shirt" I drew soothing circles on her back, "you seem tired, how did you sleep last night?"

"Not good...."

"Well just try and get some rest. I'll be here when you wake up"

I whispered and waited for her to fall asleep.

It's my turn to take care of her
