“(Y/N)? Time for you to get up.” Your mother coaxed gently and patted your cheek.
You pushed her hand away and sat up, rubbing your eyes gingerly.
“Breakfast is on the table,” she continued, and left you to your own devices.
Did you have to go to school today? What was the point when you could not answer the teachers’ questions, let alone talk to others?
You swung your legs over the edge of the bed, hearing it groan under your weight. Standing up, you proceeded to brush your teeth and prepare for school.
It was tough when you were mute. No one can hear you and because of that, no one understands your condition.
