Eternally Ambitious Wangfei

Chapter 5: A Shut-in to the Extreme

Mingxia Jie wasn't prepared for Che Baozhai to faint at all, but played it off like it was nothing. At most, she thought she would argue even more. Mingxia Jie stared absentmindedly at Che Baozhai's body out of pure confusion. No one moved to help Che Baozhai out of pure fear. 'If the wangfei can make her faint when she smiles, what will happen to us if we anger her...?' was the thought that passed through the maids' heads. Mingxia Jie was still stiff from this whole occurrence, she mumbled to herself:

-"What... What just happened?"

Mingxia Jie was utterly confused. She sighed and shook her head.

-"Oh well, go help the ce fei to her rooms and shiqi can return as well. Please make your way out quietly and pack for your new residences, I don't want to be disturbed. He'er, help me change into something light; Lan'er go bring me some tea and Lifen'er bring me this list of cultivation books. Alright people, move."

-"Yes wangfei"

The personal maids of Che Baozhai and Li Chuntao praised wangfei's maids for their effectiveness. They themselves quickly got together and moved Che Baozhai to her courtyard and Li Chuntao made her way out to get them to leave. Mingxia Jie smiled softly and went into her inner rooms followed closely by He'er. She changed her rose red dress to a wide sleeve white dress with a thin jade belt wrapped around the waist, and a red camellia was placed in her hair by He'er. As soon as she changed, Lan had appeared handing over a cup of white tea to Mingxia Jie. 

After she drank the tea and finished reading the book she stole from the wangye on their wedding night. She stood up and decided to take a walk, but when she placed her foot in front of the other she felt the Blood Soul Jade become warm and start to buzz in her ear.

Mingxia Jie became lightheaded and dizzy; her maids all noticed and started to slowly close in on the wangfei to make sure she was alright. When she shook her head she stood straight and began to walk. However, after a few steps, she slipped unconscious. Everything was black, except a bright red glow far in the distance. Mingxia Jie made her way over to the light and focused on it and a voice spoke up:

-'What took so long? For being a Master of the Devil Sect you sure are lazy."

-"Thank you for the compliment. Who are you, and where did you come from?"

-"You're the Master, you figure it out."

-'Why? If you aren't going to tell me what's the point?

The voice sounded agitated from Mingxia Jie's constant dodging, but she was looking through both her memories and the previous owner's memories but couldn't match the voice to anyone's. The voice spoke up again admitting defeat:

-"Argh! Fine! I'm the guardian of the Blood Soul Jade Hei Laohu."

-"Hei Laohu? Never heard of it, and what is a black tiger doing in a red bracelet?"

A/N: Hei Laohu translates to black tiger 

-"Anyways, since you've told me who you are I'm leaving to go cultivate. See ya."

Hei Laohu was mortified. 'This human is so lazy! Why did the elders choose her and not Master Yu?!'

-"Wait! Do you want to cultivate? I'll help you!"

Mingxia Jie's ears perked up and a devilish smile bloomed on her face:

-"Ah, really? How?"

-"Once you wake up; pull me out of here and I'll teach you."

-"Why not teach me here?"

Hei Laohu's voice cracked from embarrassment:

-"Um... Well.. I have no strength and because of that, there is no qi here. But once you start cultivation I receive as well the same capabilities as you do.  And I'm able to cultivate on my own after you start cultivation.."
