Story 11: Cuter Without

Jared made his way to his boyfriend's house. He hadn't known what was going on with him. In the middle of class, Evan covered his left eye and excused himself, leaving early. He didn't know what was doing on with him.

Jared knocked on the door to Evan's place, Heidi opening the door.
"Hi sweetie! Evan's in his room!" Heidi smiled.

Jared thanked Heidi and went inside to Evan'sn room. The bathroom light was on, so he went in there.
Evan was leaned over the sink, doing something to his eye. He noticed Jared walk in and immediately covered his left eye again.

"Jared!" Evan said surprised. "Didn't known you were coming!"

"Ev, you've been acting weird, what's wrong?"

"N-Nothing!"

Jared sighed. Evan wasn't particullarly good at lying.

"Ev, why are you gripping your eye?"

Evan shook his head, still covering his eye.

"Evan."

Evan didn't say anything.

"Evan! Don't make me!"

Evan tried to sprint out the door but failed, as Jared grabbed his arm. Evan tried to wiggle out of his grasp, but Jared was about to get Evan's other arm.

The one covering his eye.

"Y-You don't know what you're doing!" Evan screamed, like his life depended on it.
"I want to help you!"
"No you're not!"

Jared grabbed Evan's other arm.

And yanked it away from his eye.

Jared stared in shock. He stumbled back in surprise, he didn't say anything.

Evan had two different colored eyes- one was brown, and one was blue. But Evan had blue eyes...

"I knew it." Evan muttered shakily, heavy tears strolling down his flushed cheeks.

"Ev, I-"

"N-No, I knew i-it. I'm hideous, I-I'm a monster."

Jared helpessly watched at Evan gripped his arms against the wall and slid down the wall, curling up to the floor and wimpering softly.

"Evan!" Jared kneeled beside the crying Evan.

"W-What?!" Evan screamed, his cries turning into sobs.

"I think they're gorgeous." Jared smiled, wiping Evan's tears away as more rolled in.

Evan sniffled. "Y-Yeah right..."

"No, really! You're uniquely beautiful. How did you hide it?"

"B-Brown contacts... it fell off earlier, so... I p-panicked..."

Jared hugged Evan tight. "They're beautiful."

Jared felt Evan hug him tighter and cry into his shoulder.

"T-Thank you..."

"No problem baby." Jared smiled, kissing his boyfriend's temple.
