Evan excitedly bounced up and down with his toes as he awaited for his friends to come. His house was Christmas decorated, since he enjoyed celebrating it, but there was some signs of his Jewish self around the place every here and there.
He was stopped by a few knocks on the door. And in can Jared.
"Feliz Navidad a todos!" Jared yelled, bottle of tequila in hand. (Merry Christmas to everyone)
"What?" Evan asked, confused as he hugged Jared.
"You don't understand Spanish?" Jared questioned.
Evan shook his head in response, making Jared grin.
"Vamos a tener un gran tiempo, Hansen." (We're gonna have a great time, Hansen)
Evan shrugged off his gibberish as he awiated for everyone else. Connor and Zoe showed up in some Christmas sweaters (Connor loved wearing those), and Alana cake with some flan. They all sat in a little circle, putting on some Christmas and Hanukkah songs.
"Guys! Guys!" Jared tried to get everyone's attention, and succeeded.
"El niño con la camisa azul no habla español!" (The kid with the blue shirt doesn't speak Spanish)
Everyone started to grin and giggle, except for Evan. He still has no clue.
"Guys, please speak English." Evan pleaded.
"Nope." They all smiled even more.
"At least teach me."
"Fine." They all agreed.
"Say, regalos." Alana smiled. (Gifts)
"Rigalus." Evan repeated at the best of his ability. Everyone giggled.
"Say, arbol de Navidad." Zoe said warmly. (Christmas tree)
"Arbol de Novidid."
"Say, El Niño con los lentes siempre tiene verdad." Jared grinned. (The kid with the glasses is always right)
Evan gave a confused stare as everyone laughed. He shrugged.
"Say, puta de madre." Connor held back his laughs, along with everyone else. (I won't even translate this one, if you want to, google it)
"Puta de madre?"
Everyone cracked up, soon crying. Evan was now concerned.
Just then, his mom entered the house, similinf at the scent of freshly made cookies and the sound of children's laughter and holiday music.
"Hey, kids! Watcha up to?" Heidi asked.
"Teaching me Spanish." Evan smiled.
"Amazing! Speak to me!"
"Puta de madre."
Heidi stared in horror and looked at the other kids.
"ABORT ABORT!" Zoe screetched.
Zoe grabbed ahold of Evan and sprinted towards the door, along with Connor and Jared. Alana stayed in her seat.
"W-we didn't mean to, w-we thought it, wow-"
"ALANA THERE IS NO FORGIVING HERE WE GOTTA GO!" Connor interrupted Alana by picking her up in his arms and booking it towards s the door again.
"ADIOS Y FELIZ DIA A TI!" (Goodbye and good day to you)
