No ships

Lost, that's what they were.

Zoe Murphy and Connor Murphy were lost, in the middle of a huge forest.

Let's take a flashback, shall we?

Zoe baked some bread in the oven. She always loved making food, it was something she was known for in her little neighborhood of their town. Connor was sitting in the dining room, making the table for breakfast.

"Mother, Father, breakfast is almost ready!" Zoe called.

"Why do you even call them 'mother' and 'father'?" Connor asked, setting down the last plate and just taking a seat.

"Because they're raising us, Connor. They're our parents." Zoe took a peek at the bread as the dough rose.

"They treat us like shit, Zoe. Haven't you ever realized why you're always the one cooking, or why I'm always the one cleaning?"

Zoe shrugged and took out a small flat wooden board from one of their cabinets, and then reached for the mittens. "Yeah, it's because they're always busy. Plus, I'm the better cook in this house."

Connor shook his head. "It's because they're lazy. They don't care about it. They always have toasts with our neighbors and leave us here, most of the time, ourselves."

Zoe tightened the bun on her head. "Maybe you think that because you're selfish."

Connor glared at Zoe, small sparks of fire forming at his fingertips.

"What?"

Zoe nodded, and looked it him.

"You heard me. You're selfish, and only care for yourself. God, you're even flaming up, calm down."

Connor shot up and walked towards Zoe.

"You're lying to yourself! They're bad parents and you know it! You're just 'keeping cool', you're trying to give them a reason. But there isn't a reason!"

At this point, Connor's hair was changing from its tangled, long brown hair to tips of a fire, orange and red and yellow.

Zoe shuddered. She knew they were bad people. But she didn't wanna admit it. Where else would they go?

"Don't you dare say that!" Zoe slammed her hands on the counter, ice forming on where her hands touched the table.

"YES I DARE! SNAP OUT OF IT! YOU KNOW IM RIGHT!"

Connor's hair was not a full on flame, and his eyes were bright in revenge and rage. Zoe snarled.

"NO THEYRE NOT! YOURE JUST PATHETIC!"

Connor's fire grew.

"AND WEAK!"

And grew.

"AND A NEEDY JERK!"

Connor suddenly burst, fire exploding everywhere. Zoe ducked and saw the whole cottage catch on fire, everything turning to ash or dark. She saw her brother regain his self-control and saw him sway before collapsing on the ground. Zoe, in a moment of panic, ran towards her brother and threw him over her shoulder as she ran out of the house and into the forest.

Zoe picked some berries from a bush beside her, and rubbed the berries against her to see if they were safe to eat. They didn't give her a nasty rash, or make her itch, so she took a handful of them and walked to where Connor was laying.

Connor's temperature was cold, and ironically, he was still out cold. His hair turned back to it's normal state, but his hands were a bit pink from all he flames he held.

Zoe had to keep him warm- him being a fire element, he needs to keep warm. She, on the other hand, being an ice element, needed to stay cool. That's why she laid Connor in the pure sun.

Zoe, trusting that nothing would happen to her brother, wandered around the forest. When she ran with Connor out of the house, she ran and ran in the forest until she couldn't see the fire anymore. But that only made her completely lost.

Zoe moved some bushes out of the way and stopped where she was, there was a cliff. Beyond the cliff was a lake, trees and vines, and in the distance you could see, none other, than the Kleinman castle. (Fight me).

That's where they needed to go. Hopefully the Kleinmans would be nice and help them out. After all, they rule the kingdom for a reason.

Zoe wandered back to where Connor lay, and once she made it, she saw Connor sit up and look around him.

"Where the fuck..?" Connor muttered.

"You had your little tantrums and got the house on fire, dipshit." Zoe said.

Connor nodded and rubbed his eyes, which were back to normal as well. He sat completely up and looked at his palms, which were a bit swollen and burnt from all that energy.

"Here, let me help." Zoe kneeled down and placed Connor's palms on hers.

She concentrated on her hands as they got a bit cold. Connor hummed in satisfaction.

"Thanks." Connor said.

"No, thank you."

Connor looked at Zoe, confused.

"You're right, I hated them."
