Evan woke up to someone poking his cheek. He blinked awake at the sudden contact and stared at the gorgeous boy before him.

He was beyond beauty- dark and long hair, and a pale face with blue eyes.

"Umm.. you're on my bed." He boy said.

Evan apologized repeatedly and scurried out of the long, dark-haired boy's bed and went to the opposite one.

"What time is it?" Evan asked, already awake.

"I have no idea, but it's night for sure." The boy stated, pointing to the dark hallways and rooms, and the bars blocking from leaving and exiting.

"Oh." Evan muttered.

Connor got under his covers of his bed, Evan was well.

Connor started to doze off, but something made him slightly alert.

"I-I'm Evan Hansen."

"Connor, Connor Murphy."

It was most likely the middle of the night. Evan didn't know specifically what time, they didn't had clocks. But he couldn't sleep.

After all, he slept through the whole afternoon anyway.

Evan, being the child-like person he was, waddled over to Connor's side of the room and went in his bed. He did so slowly, since the tall boy was asleep.

"...What the hell Hansen..?"

Evan looked up to see Connor's tired face.

"I-I can't sleep." Evan stammered.

Connor sighed and shifted a bit so Evan had some room.

Evan was lucky he was so cute.

"Whatcha in for?" Connor asked groggily, looking at the ceiling, wishing he was asleep at the moment.

"Falsely accused of murder." Evan whispered.

"Oh, I'm sorry."

"It's okay, what about you?

"Sold drugs-"

"People do that all the time."

"-To an undercover officer."

"Fern, man."

"Have you heard of 21 Chump Street, when Justin does so to Naomi?"

"Yeah."

"Well, that."

Evan chucked a bit, making Connor's face shine pink from his adorable giggles.

"I'm sorry for, you know, waking you." Evan said.

"It's okay, just try to sleep, it'll be okay Hansen." Connor replied.

And they both did doze off.

"OHHH BOY THIS IS THE BEST THING IVE SEEN IN 2 YEARS!"

Connor and Evan woke up to see a boy with glasses atop of them, laughing.

"Foxy!" Connor screamed, shoving the boy to the floor, who erupted laughing.

"Sorry if I interupted anything with your boyfriend here, Connor."

Evan gulped and sat up.

"Speaking of which, I haven't seen you around. Let me introduce myself- hi, I'm Jared Kleinman, but I'm mostly known as 'Foxy', who are you?"

"I'm Evan. Known as Evan Hansen."

Jared shook hands with Evan, and smirked.

"Nice to meet ya. Breakfast is actually serving right now, lemme set the rules."

"Okay, thanks Jar-"

"Upupup! I'm Foxy."

"O-Oh, Sorry, Thanks Foxy."

"Welcome."

Jared and Connor led Evan to the cafeteria, where there were people if different sizes and different measures of danger. Jared sat them at a table in the corner, and Evan pushed away his food if seemignly un editable food away from him.

"You might wanna eat that, they only feed us twice a day." Jared warned.

Evan nodded and took a deep breath before taking a bite of the crap before him.

"So," Jared began, "There are a couple of rules you should know."

Evan nodded, listening. Connor was eating beside him.

"One- Never take all the officer's seriously. If you do, you'll be mocked for actually caring."

Evan nodded again, taking mental notes.

"Two- Never sneak out of your cell before night. They check if everyone is in position every night before lockdown, and if you're caught not where you're supposed to me, you get solitude."

"What's solitude?" Evan asked.

"You get locked up in a room way in the back of this prison and don't get anything to eat or drink for however many days they choose."

Evan gulped, snatching Connor's hand and squeezing it.

"Three- Never pass up the opportunity to skip yard work. The officers there don't give two shits about us, so we usually wander off and to trades."

"What are trades?" Evan asked.

Connor scoffed. "We trade things we need to escape or give to officers for things. It's great."

"And that reminds me," Jared spoke, "Four- Never mess with Zoe Murphy or Officer Beck."

"Who's Zoe?" Evan asked.

"My sister." Connor said.

"You have a sister? Why is she even here?"

"She sold the drugs with me. Duh."

"Zoe Murphy is trouble." Jared said, looking at Connor, who nodded in agreement. "She keeps watch of things nobody's supposed to do and tells them to Officer Alana, who makes our punishment."

"Why would she do that? She's a prisoner too." Evan reasoned.

"She has a... relationship... with Officer Beck."

Evan gave a confused look until he saw Jared make kissy noises.

Now he understood.

"Any questions?" Jared confirmed.

"Yeah, why do they call you Foxy?"

"Well, I've been here for 2 years already, since stealing a car made me spend 3 years here. I know this prison very well, I can navigate through this place without my glasses even. I sneak around all the time, but no one finds me since I'm fast and quiet. That leads me to a good spot with good trades." Jared said.

"You understand?"

Evan looked around. Don't take everything seriously, don't sneak off at night, don't pass up yard work, never mess with Zoe and Officer Beck.

"Yeah, I do." Evan said.
