I swear to the god(s) I don't beleive in, my parents keep switching on whether they support me or not. Mainly my dad,
Yesterday, he asked if I could "put my gender on hold". (yep, my gender can be put on hold, and listen to the stupid hold music.) And he doesn't care to learn.
And then today he admits that he doesn't understand, and he wants help to understand, because all he wants is for me to be happy. (I'm starting to think he's the better parent.) So he took the time to actually listen and negotiate some stuff.
For example, his biggest problem is my new name. He doesn't hate the name, but it's so different from my birthname, and it's obscure to him. So I may just go by my middle name, which is gender neutral, but I do want to change the spelling of it, because I think the way it's spelled is stupid, and it is spelled in a slightly girly way.
So my name may change to Garren, I'm not sure. I do actually like it though.
It's actually similar to one of the names I was think about going by, Garrison, but I didn't since it just sounded a little weird.
