A sharp pain ran through my head as I slowly grew conscious again. I didn't feel like getting up though, because, well, I hate getting up, but my entire body was telling me to do other wise. I heard the sounds of people yelling, horses, and wheels. I slowly opened my eyes to see the sky flying by, making me relax a little. I looked around to see that I was in a wooden wagon. There were houses surrounding the wagon as well as a giant wall.
Wait, giant wall?
I tried to sit up slowly, but felt someone push me back down. I looked to my right to see Mikasa sitting right next to me with a few bandages in her hand.
"Stay down," she whispered.
I looked at her confused, so I tried listening to the people around us talking, and let's just say they are major jerks. They kept telling the soldiers that they were a waste of there taxes and how they shouldn't even go out of the walls in the first place. It made me a little angry, but I didn't do anything. Scratch that, I couldn't do anything. I was injured and Mikasa wasn't going to let me do anything. Plus, they acted just like bullies. Pick on others to make you feel like less and make them feel like more then you are. Thank goodness I learned that, other wise I would be yelling at all of those people with all of the strength I had.
I sighed and looked over at Mikasa.
"Those guys are jerks," I whispered.
"We can't do anything about it. They're citizens, and we aren't allowed to hurt them. Just go back to sleep. You need rest," she said.
"What happened?" I asked.
Mikasa sighed and looked at the wagon behind us.
"It's a long story. I'll tell you later."
I sighed and closed my eyes.
"Ok," I said.
After what felt like an hour, I felt the wagon stop. I opened my eyes to see we had stopped at an old looking castle. I looked over at Mikasa, who was standing up, and saw that she was looking at a specific wagon. I tried to sit up, but this time my head started to throb. I put my hand over my head, but felt something wet. I took my hand off to see some blood on it. I looked over at Mikasa. She hadn't noticed that I was awake yet.
"Mikasa," I said.
Mikasa looked over at me, then sighed.
"Stay still," she said.
She kneeled down next to me and started to take off the bandages that were on my head that I somehow didn't notice were there.
"I know your confused, but just bear with us here. We're doing what we can to help you," she said.
I looked over at her confused.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
She sighed.
"It's nothing," she said.
When she finished with wrapping the new bandages on, Mikasa stood up and jumped off of the wagon. She then walked away from the wagon and to the other wagon she was looking at earlier. She started talking to someone that was on the wagon, but I couldn't see who it was. When I tried to see who it was, someone walked in front of me. Of course, it was Levi.
"Hey brat," said Levi.
I looked at him a little confused.
"Brat?"
"That's what shorty calls everyone," said Hanji, who was right behind Levi.
"Why am I not surprised?" I asked myself.
"Come on. Commander Erwin wants to meet with you."
"Ok," I said.
I got out of the wagon and followed Levi and Hanji into the castle. The inside looked, for some reason, really clean. I looked over at Levi and Hanji to see Hanji laughing at the fact that Levi was making sure that everything was clean.
"I'm guessing your a clean freak," I said to Levi.
Hanji nodded her head.
"He's such a big clean freak that he made his entire squad clean this entire place before the others got here."
"Wow, that must have taken awhile. Hey, where is your squad?"
Levi and Hanji froze when I asked that. I looked at Levi to see a hint of sadness in his eyes.
"They're dead," said Levi.
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Hey, do you know how I got this?"
I pointed at the bandages on my head. Hanji and Levi looked at me surprised.
"You mean you don't remember?" asked Hanji.
I shook my head. Hanji's eyes widened even more. She then turned back around and started walking again. So did Levi. I slowly followed behind them, trying to get my thoughts straight.
'It's like when I saved Sasha and Connie. I didn't remember any of it. The only difference here is that I was knocked unconscious first. Is that why I don't remember anything?'
I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't even notice that Levi and Hanji stopped, which ended up making me run into them. That also ended up making me nearly fall over. Luckily Hanji was able to stop me from falling.
"I'm guessing you were trying to figure something out," said Levi.
I nodded my head in embarrassment. Levi sighed and knocked on the giant wooden doors in front of him. On the other side, another voice was heard.
"State your name and business."
"Levi Ackerman, and we've brought her," said Levi.
'Ackerman? Why does that sound so familiar?' I thought.
"Come in," said the voice on the other side of the door.
Levi opened to door to reveal a big office with multiple chairs, a desk, and a giant book shelf. There was a giant window behind the desk that had an amazing view of the garden that was in the building. I slowly walked into the office as Levi and Hanji walked in like this was normal. I looked at the bookshelf to see Erwin looking over at us.
"Hello Hato. How are you feeling?" he asked.
"Uh, fine I guess. But how did you know my name?" I asked.
"Levi told me," he said.
"Commander Erwin," said Levi.
Erwin looked over at Levi as Levi told him something. Erwin sighed and looked over at me.
"So you don't remember anything?"
I shook my head.
"I wish I did," I said.
"I see, so you don't even remember Reiner trying to take you back," said Erwin.
"Wait, WHAT!?"
