I lifted my hand from my head and fell limp. I had been asleep for hours, yet it felt like I haven't slept in days. I laid on my bed and looked up at the ceiling. My mind was filled with questions, but the one that stuck out to me was 'Is this some what connected with why Levi was sad?' I don't know why it did. Hey, I don't even know why it came up in the first place. Levi wasn't in the dream and the setting wasn't even close to the cities in the walls, yet it somehow made sense.
I pushed my body up from the bed and sat up. I looked at my bag and sighed. Then, a dim light came from my bag. I crawled over to it and opened it. I had to cover my eyes because of how bright it was. When my eyes adjusted to the light, I looked in the bag. My phone was on, showing that someone had texted me. I grabbed my phone and looked at the text. It said:
'Call me when you can. I need to talk to you.'
I looked at the number. It was Lily who had texted me. I sighed and turned off my phone. I laid back down on my bed and sighed.
'I guess right now is the only time I can call her, but where can I call Lily and not get caught?'
I looked outside. The moon was a little low, telling me I had a few hours. I got out of bed and walked over to where my uniform was. I grabbed it and my newsboy cap and went into the changing room. I changed out of my shirt and leggings and put on my uniform. I flipped my cap on and put my phone into the jacket pocket. I left the changing room and walked over to the exit. When I grabbed the door handle, I took a quick peek at the others. They were all fast asleep. I sighed and opened the door. The hallways were empty and silent. I walked out into the hallway and closed the door as quietly as possible.
I walked through the hallways, trying not to wake anyone up. As I made a few turns, I noticed that I wasn't the only one up. There was the sound of someone writing and flipping papers. As I neared the sound, I noticed that I was near the library. Nobody really goes to the library, Jean had stated earlier, so it would be a good place to call Lily. When I got to the library, I realized that someone was in there. I slowly opened the door and peaked my head in. I looked at one of the chairs to see Hanji flipping through random books.
"Hanji?"
Hanji turned around and looked at me.
"Hi Hato. What are you doing up so early?" she asked surprisingly quiet.
"Oh, I couldn't get any sleep," I said while closing the door.
"I see," she said.
"What about you?"
"I'm doing some research."
"This early in the morning?"
"Well I can't study titans this early in the morning. They wouldn't be able to react."
"That makes sense."
Hanji giggled a little.
"You have another reason for being here, don't you?"
"How could you tell?"
"Your phone is sticking out of your pocket."
I looked down and, sure enough, my phone was sticking out slightly. I sighed and pulled my phone out.
"Lily wanted to call me again. She's probably mad about earlier."
Hanji smiled and nodded her head.
"Just don't let anyone else know about it. They might try and kill you for it."
"Thanks."
I walked away from Hanji and over to one of the chairs. I sat down, pulled my phone out, and called Lily. It wasn't long before Lily picked up.
"Hey Lily," I said.
"WHY DID YOU HANG UP ON ME?" she yelled.
I covered the speaker to make sure no one was able to hear.
"I'm sorry Lily. I was very busy and you always call at the worst time."
"Really, how so?"
"Well, I was in the middle of a battle to the death the last time you called."
"OH. Where are you?"
"Survey corps HQ in Wall Rose. I'm guessing your in the Naruto world.
"Yep, how'd you know?"
I sighed.
"You told me the last time you called."
"Oh yeah, forgot about that. Anyways, something weird is happening."
"Really? Why would you say that?" I said sarcastically.
"I'll just give you the short version of what happened. When I went backstage to get ready for my performance for the big New Years party, I found my Naruto headband back there with a note saying 'Put it on', so I did. But when I finished the performance, I teleported to this world. The head band also ended up helping me a lot which made me wonder who was it that brought the headband. That's when I realized something."
"What did you realize?"
"Sakura knew about where I'm from and is trying to help me."
"Wow, sounds weird."
"It is."
"The people here have been acting weird. They act like I'm someone else. Someone that they once knew, but I don't know why."
Lily stopped talking for a while. Then she sighed.
"I have a feeling that this is going to get weirder. We need to tell Shadow about this."
"I can't. People will start getting suspicious."
"Then I'll call Shadow. You try and figure out what's happening on your side of the story."
"Ok, talk to you later."
"Yeah, bye."
I hung up and sighed. What am I going to do? This is starting to feel weird. I looked at the roof and sighed again.
"Does this have anything to do with me not remembering my first ten years of my life?" I asked myself.
I suddenly heard the door to the library close. I turned my head to look see who it was, but no one was there. I looked over at Hanji. All of her stuff was there, but she wasn't.
