As I felt the light consume me, I felt something warm on my right hand. I looked up at it and nearly gasped. The outline of the swan tattoo was glowing a soft white light and it created a warmth that went through my entire body. When the warmth disappeared, the ground also disappeared. I looked around, but I was still surrounded by white. Suddenly, a silhouette appeared in front of me. It looked like a girl that looked about the same height as me and the same hair length, but I couldn't really tell. The silhouette started moving towards me until it stopped about a meter away from me. Now I could see what it was clearly, and what I saw surprised me.

It was, indeed, a girl that looked like me. But the tips of her hair were pointing to the bottom middle of her hair, making it look like an upside down tear drop, and her pupils were black, pitch black. She wore a shirt that had a black ribbon around her waist. The sleeves were long and reminded me of a kimono and she had on black leggings. She wore white combat boots and and a white cloth that covered her left eye. None of this actually caught my attention, though. What caught my attention was that there were black strings wrapped around her arms, legs, and waist. For some reason, they reminded me of puppet strings.

The sudden urge to run up to her took over me, so I started running. When I got to her, her body turned into a white light that started surrounding me. I felt like I was getting impaled by a spear, but I didn't cry out. In fact, I didn't even feel pain. I just felt something come into me, and it seemed to be in the shape of a spear.

The light around me disappeared making me feel the ground once again. My arms were at my side, bent slightly, as I looked around. I was back out side of Wall Maria, which got me confused. What did I just see? It didn't make sense at all.

Suddenly, I remembered why I jumped in the first place. I looked up at the wall to see Annie, Reiner, and Bertholdt had used their gear and tried to follow me. But when the bright light came, they stopped. All three of them were half way down the wall and were staring at me like they just saw a ghost. I looked at them confused and looked back down at myself. I nearly gasped when I saw what I was wearing. I was wearing an outfit that was very similar to the one the girl was wearing. Then it hit me.

I was that girl.

I tried thinking of how that could be, but was interrupted by the sound of footsteps. I looked on the other side of me to see a few titans running up behind me. I sighed and started running, swiftly. After a few minutes, I was surprisingly at the entrance of the Shiganshina district. I looked up at the destroyed gate, and then looked back. The titans, Reiner, Annie, and Bertholdt were out of sight, which made me confused. I had just ran for a few minutes, yet I somehow went miles.

After a while, I chose not to question it and walked through the gates. There was a lot of rubble on the ground, so I had to climb a lot. As I stepped on some of the rocks, I held my pocket knife out in front of me. It changed from pitch black to pure white. I didn't really question it, it wouldn't fix anything. I let my arm fall to my side again as I looked forward. I was on the other side of the gate now, so I had a pretty good view of what happened at this side of the district. Most of this side was completely destroyed, and that really didn't surprise me. Bertholdt kicked the gate while in titan form and that uses a lot of power to do. I also noticed a lot of skeletons and dried blood on the ground, telling me that everyone in this area died.

I walked up to one of the buildings and looked up. It was hit by multiple boulders, so most of it was down. But there was a part of it still up. I climbed up one of the boulders and stood up. I started climbing the other ones when I heard the sound of footsteps. Loud footsteps. I looked behind me and saw a titan walking towards me. It was staring at me with a sickening grin, sending chills down my spine. It bent down and held it's arm out, hand open. Before I could even think, my body moved on it's own. I jumped up, really high, as it closed it's hand. I looked down at it as it looked at me and held my hand out. The pocket knife in it started to glow and change shape. The light shattered after a second, revealing a sword with a blade similar to the blades in the maneuvering gear. The titan lifted it's arm and tried to grabbed me again, but I cut it's hand off before it could. I landed on it's arm as it cried in pain. I ran up it's arm as it used it's other hand to try and grab me. But by the time it's hand was about to grab me, I had cut off the nape and the titan had fallen to the ground.

I sighed as I was able to take control of my body again. I jumped up and landed on the roof from the building I was trying to get on top of before. When I landed, I turned around and looked at the titan corpse on the ground. I couldn't believe I did that, and remembered. It felt weird, yet normal. But there was something off about my movements. I wasn't even the one in control, and that scared me. It was like I was a puppet. And my moves were smooth, and somehow graceful. It was like a swan moving through the air. So was I like a swan, or was it something else?

Was I just a swan that played the role of the marionette?
