It was early evening when I arrived at the amusement park, hoping to calm my stressed out nerves. Honestly, school has been giving me a hard time these past few days and my crush, who happened to be my long-time best friend, Hwang Hyunjin.

"Yah," a voice broke me out of my thoughts, "I thought we're here to have fun?"

I stared up at Hyunjin, and smiled.

"Yeah. Let's have fun—oh look! There's a cotton candy stand, let's go get some!" I exclaimed, holding his hand and dragging him to the stand.

I smile at the man by the stand, holding up two of my fingers. "Two please." I say.

He nods and I wait patiently for the cotton candy, my hand still holding Hyunjin's unknowingly.

When the man handed me the sticks with the cotton candy wound around it, I removed my grip on Hyunjin's hand and reached into my pocket to pay for the sweets but then he beat me to it and gave the payment to the man.

"Thanks." Hyunjin smiled and held my hand, walking away from the stand.

I smiled, a fuzzy feeling settling in my chest as I handed him a stick, "Here. Eat it."

He chuckled heartily and took the stick, eating the candy. I did the same action, savoring the sweet as it melted in my mouth.

We walked around aimlessly and talked about crappy stuff, laughing at each other occasionally as we finished off our cotton candies. We discarded the sticks in a nearby bin, and went to another stall which caught my eye.

It was a brightly colored stall with a man probably in his late forties standing by it, offering medium-sized stuff toys as the prize if one could get three hoops out of five around a pole. Hyunjin grinned and wrapped an arm around me.

"Let me win you one." he says. I giggle and push his shoulder playfully, nodding at his idea.

Hyunjin then handed the man the fee for the game and the man in return gave him five red hoops, moving out of the way for him to focus on the pole.

"Go Hyunjin you can do it!" I cheer, holding up my camera as I grin at him. He shot me a playful wink and I stuck my tongue out at him, capturing his picture.

He threw the first ring and missed, he pouted but put on a game face and threw the second ring. It landed around the pole and he cried out excitedly, giving me a quick hug before returning to his position, now more determined.

Another hoop was thrown but it only hit the pole. Hyunjin pouted again and held the second to the last hoop, holding it tightly as he took more time with his aim before throwing it.

It landed around the pole. Again, Hyunjin yelled out and I laughed, taking more pictures of him as the man behind the stall laughed as well at his silliness.

It was down to the last hoop. Hyunjin calmed down and took a deep breath, closing his eyes as he held the final hoop tight.

When I thought he was going to throw it, he turned to me with a cheeky grin.

"How about a good luck kiss?" he says.

I shake my head, yet leaned over and placed a soft kiss on his cheek. I pulled away and he grinned wider than ever.
