She met him at the beach, playing around with his eight friends while she sunbathed peacefully, her beautiful eyes being covered by her dark brown sunglasses as she was being accompanied by her best friend, Paula, who had ditched her to be with her boyfriend, whose name she learned as Jisung.

(Y/N) was just minding her own business, applying another coat of sunblock on her skin when a beach ball flew to her direction, settling gently at her feet. Confused, she pulled her sunglasses down only to be met with a pair of smiling chocolate orbs.

"Hey, I'm really sorry for the ball. My friends are being stupid and hitting the ball too harshly," the guy before her apologized, his ears tinting a light shade of pink as he nervously scratched the back of his neck, picking up the white beach ball.

"It's okay," (Y/N) laughed.

The guy laughed as well, seemingly thinking of something to keep the conversation going but he couldn't because of the awkwardness—heck, he doesn't even know her name.

"Uh, I'm Seungmin. And you are?"

"(Y/N)."

After their fateful meeting, they began to see each other until summer break ended. Surprisingly, Seungmin went to the same school as she is, and the girl was a bit confused as to why she couldn't even see him at school in the slightest bit.

But, during their junior years they got to know each other more deeply, until it resulted to her being his girlfriend.

(Y/N) and Seungmin started dating, and it was a match clearly made in heaven, because when the young man transferred to her school he became the captain of the football team after tryouts. (Y/N), being leader of the cheering squad, she of course attended to all of his games.

He also started to show his really weird side to her, which included slightly weird dates and long drives of singing along to Day6's songs. But of course, even though they're not the first option for a date they end up being the best dates ever!

For a year, Seungmin has been nothing but a perfect boyfriend. He's everything (Y/N) could ever ask for—he's not too clingy so she can always hang out with her friends as much as she did before, but he's always there for her as she is to him.

That was, until senior year came around.

The sound of a car pulling into the driveway and (Y/N) rolled her eyes. Putting her book down, she drank the last bit of her hot chocolate and tightened her jacket around her body. She was sitting on the front porch of the flat she shares with her boyfriend of two years, Seungmin, like she had been since seven that evening. Her silky black skirt became too cold for her that she had to grab a fuzzy blanket from her bed to cover her freezing form.

A car door closing sounded like a gunshot in the awfully quiet streets of the town they live in, since they preferred the quiet places, they bought a flat that was surrounded by peace and silence.

Seungmin's shoes scuffed against the gravel pavement, but (Y/N) still doesn't look up. Instead she found interest in her silver shoulder bag, fiddling with the straps. He stops directly in front of her, his back leaning against the railings. In a matter of seconds that felt like hours, no one dared to make sound.
