She had always been a dependent person, and maybe that was something she was less than likely to admit, but she was. And she was reliant towards her wonderland, and that wonderland happened to be her best friend, the only one who stayed with her when things were more than a bit shitty, the only one who stayed with her when all left her behind. He was where she could let her tears fall down without another care in the world. He was where she can manage to lose the stress that had built up over the weeks. He was where she could smile and laugh as if it's her last, and he was where she could be herself without being judged.

Jisung.

"Come on, I know you're lying."

(Y/N) glared at her best friend as she stuffed her face with chips and placed a pillow under her legs. She propped up her feet on the armrest of the leather couch and leaned her head on the back of the couch, her dark orbs glaring at the guy lying on the floor.

Jisung smacked her leg with his foot, "(Y/N)," he whined, "you know I'm going to be bothered the whole day if I don't know something."

"Then die without knowing it."

"Mean." he pouted, "Now I know why Minho is your brother. You're both the same."

"Shut up."

(Y/N) had always known Jisung since the earliest of days, she had known him ever since they were in diapers. Due to this, they bonded quickly and over the years, they became more than fond of each other, with their friendship strengthening with each day passing. He had seen her at her best and worst, her ups and downs, her rise and fall. He had seen her breakups, "friends'" betrayal, getting drunk for the first time, falling in love and falling out of it.

And then there was simple Jisung, chubby cheeks, songwriting ability, rap skills and all, who had endured a lot with his best friend. He had seen her fall in and out of love so hopelessly that wasn't him and move on with someone that wasn't him.

"Why do you stick around with me? You deserve a good friend, unlike me who's an emotional drama queen." asked fifteen-year-old (Y/N) as she cried on his shoulder.

"Because I care too much to let go."

"Come on, just tell me," he tried to persuade her by pulling on her arm and begging like a kid, pouting all the way.

(Y/N) cringed, "Stop doing aegyo. You're too ugly for it."

Jisung glared at her, "Be grateful you're the only one I'm doing you aegyo for."

"Nah, I'd rather much see Hyunjin do that for me."

"So!" he interrupted, smiling thinly at her, "Are you really gonna tell me or what?"

"No."

"I'm serious, tell me," his playful self was draining out of him.

(Y/N) sighed, "Some things are best left unsaid, Jisung."

"We're best friends," he whined, "we share everything everyday."

Best friends. Ouch.

"Alright, fine," she said, giving up already. She knew she couldn't lie to him for long, as she couldn't keep a secret to him.

"But please don't laugh, get mad, or end our friendship when I say this."

"What?" he was surprised, "Why would I get mad, or end our friendship? I mean, I would laugh at you any time of the day, but getting mad at you?" he snorted. "It's almost impossible for me to do it."

"You're killing me here, so just say it."

"Well..." (Y/N) took a deep breath.

"...I've realized that I've been an idiot."

Jisung rolled his eyes and took a bite out of his pop tart, "That's not new info, honey."

(Y/N) glared at him, yet continued nevertheless, taking a somewhat shaky breath. "Anyway...since we were younger I always thought what you and I had was different. I mean, you always understood me, no matter how irrational I was being. You can get me like nobody can, and you can knock some sense into me when I'm being a stupid ass. And thinking back to those times...made me realize what I really feel."

During that time, Jisung almost forgot to breathe, as he slowly anticipated for what she has to say. It had got his heart in a tumbling mess.

"Remember when we were only thirteen? We kissed just to see what it's like. And to think about it, we stole each others' first kiss. My thoughts, to be completely frank and honest with you, during that time, were that I wanted to kiss you because I knew that I'd never regret it, and you won't break my heart. And up to this day, I still don't regret that decision."

Jisung noticed the small formation of pink dust on the apples of her cheeks and smiled, "I don't regret it, either." he then chuckled, "Remember that time when I had a massive crush on you that rumors went around and all? Too bad you didn't believe it."

"Of course I wouldn't believe it. After all they were only rumors, I don't know if they're true or not; it almost seemed too good to be true anyways." she shrugged, finally spilling the hidden tea. (Y/N) then turned her head to Jisung, who had a similar rosy tint on his cheeks.

"That's the problem with us. These feelings that we kept bottled up inside us for years won't go away, it will just grow, it will build up until we're about to finally explode."

They had themselves kept quiet for a bit, until Jisung reached out and held her hand in his, the pink blush on his chubby cheeks turning into a crimson red splash. He gathered up the courage to voice his thoughts out.

"So, what you are trying to say is that...you like like me?"

"Exactly."

He was more than ecstatic to know the truth, the truth that mirrored his feelings. Without a second thought, he collected her in his arms, wrapping his long limbs around her petite frame and pulled her against his chest, securing her in a warm hug. He could feel bolts of electricity shoot inside him, like a burst of adrenaline running along his veins. His head had light difficulty with wrapping it around the thought of her liking him back, his emotions swayed and exploded like a ton of fireworks, and he could feel the heat on his ears, making him feel like a lovestruck high school student all over again.

"Good. Because I like you too."
