After being a personal assistant to his best friend's sister, Felix had (somewhat) miraculously survived the ordeal.

That ordeal, being (Y/N).

It has been a week since the two of them met, and it had been five days since Chan left for Korea for his music career. In the span of five days, the two seldom conversed and exchanged glances, much to the girl's liking and much to Felix's disappointment. He so badly wanted to talk to her and learn more about her to help her get over with what she needed to get over with, while (Y/N) didn't want to have to do anything with Felix. They would go on with their lives, with Felix going in and out of the house and staying at the guest room which has been his temporary room during his stay in the household, while (Y/N) would spend her whole day in her room, only going out for bathroom breaks and food.

Sometimes, fate would make way for the two of them and give them a chance to speak to each other without (Y/N) having the thirst to rip Felix's deep vocal chords out. The male would make food for them, if not, order somewhere nice and eat with her. But, even the regular dinner together did not make (Y/N) open up to him.

And this went on until Chan came back home.

"Still nothing?" Chan says as he takes a seat on the couch, propping his legs up on the glass coffee table in front of him as Felix shamelessly rummages through his bags. The younger boy takes two bags of cheese chips from Chan's luggage and sits beside his friend on the sofa, opening one and taking a handful of junk before stuffing it all inside his mouth.

Felix shook his head no.

"Not weird," Chan clicks his tongue in annoyance. "I know it's hard, but please understand. (Y/N)'s been through a hard phase in her life, and acceptance is a big issue for her."

"I can see," Felix says once he had gulped down the food. "She looks at me like she'll kill me if I do something stupid."

"Yep. She's like that." Chan then remembered something. "I haven't told you this one thing about her. Can you read Hangul? Or, can you understand Filipino?"

"Uh...slight?"

"Good enough for me," Chan stood up and went to one of the drawers by the TV, pulled out a book, and gave it to Felix. "It's (Y/N)'s book. She's the writer of this novel, and it has been published in Korea since last year. The thing is, it's only available there, and there are no translations for her book yet. But as far as I know, she's making an English and Filipino translation of her book."
