It was no doubt that Minho was a charming creature, and a flirty and daring one at that. He was a fairy with a unique set of interesting quirks and personality, and he can sometimes come off as arrogant and rude. Perhaps it was the traits he had inherited from Eros, his ancestral root. But, in all honesty, he is a creature who knows how to love like a true human.

However, when his heart began beating for a human—a measly mortal as regarded to by his fellow magical creatures—his mother strongly disagreed with this.

"How dare you do such a reckless decision?" his mother, Aglaea, the Queen of the land, roared, showering her son with an ear-splitting sermon after returning from the mortal realm. "I begged Athena to give you the gift of wisdom when you were still a little baby, but here you are, being as foolish as any mortal can be!"

"Mother, it's true," Minho says and looked at his mom and looked up at the mighty pillars that supported his heavenly home. "I love (Y/N). That's why I created a new law of the universe and made the soulmate marks existing."

"And that's something that you shouldn't do!" she yelled again, face flushed from anger. "Only Zeus can do that, Minho. You are just a fairy; nothing more, nothing less. You can't just make decisions recklessly, whether it is for the better or for worse. We can't just take matters into our hands whenever we want them, Minho. I don't want to lose another person I love again."

Minho teared up at the sudden drop in his mother's tone, as he instantly knew what she meant. Years ago, when he was still a toddler fairy, his father died on accident when he was caught up in a fight between two gods. He tried to alter the universe's laws by making a set of new ones to please the humans, and a god took his side while another opposed his idea. Long story short, he was killed when a spear stuck his leg, the only immortal part of his body which made him vulnerable and easy to kill.

Minho went to Aglaea and wrapped his arms around her, letting her head fall to his stomach. There she let her tears out, and Minho couldn't help but let out a tear or two. He squeezed his mom's shoulder.

"I promise you, mother, nothing bad will happen to me," he says. "I've thought about this decision clearly, believe me. Even though it might seem really quick for me to grant (Y/N)'s wish overnight, the time was enough for me to love her. Call it stupid, or whatever you want to name it, but it's true."

Aglaea detached from the prince and gave him another of those cold expressions of hers. "I still don't approve of your declaration of love for her," she says. "But I will accept it, of course, for your sake and happiness. But, on one condition."

"What condition?" he asked.

"Bring her to me on the tenth of this month; cast a spell on her so she wouldn't know the way to our kingdom. And I shall do what is needed to be done."

"No, mom!" he knows the techniques of his mother. When she speaks like that, she isn't planning something very good. "Though you're my mother, I'm sorry, but I won't let anything bad happen to (Y/N)."
