Chapter 65: Bite Off

"Blaise.." I whispered once again "Let's go. Baka may mangyari pa sa atin" dagdag ko as I looked at him and Glicerio na kapwa hindi gumagalaw while their guns are pointed at each other.

Blaise tilted his head on the side. Akala ko ay sasagutin niya ang sinabi ko pero tahimik pa rin siya.

Dahan-dahan kong pinakawalan ang hininga ko dahil sa totoo lang kinakabahan na talaga ako sa mga nangyayari. Natatakot ako para kay Glicerio dahil alam kong tototohanin ni Blaise ang banta niya kanina. Ayoko naman na patayin siya ni Blaise. He's not worth it na maging dahilan nang pagkasira ng buhay niya.

"Do you think I am afraid of you? Kahit mapatay mo man ako, hindi rin kayo makalalabas ng buhay dito sigurado" Glicerio spat cunningly at Blaise who smirked at that.

The door then bursted open and three men in uniform entered with their hands on their gun. They stopped behind us. Glicerio chuckled at that.

"What are you going to do now, Blaise Rafaelo Gandia?" mapang-asar niyang tanong. One of his men then grabbed me by the arm at tinutukan ako ng baril sa ulo. My eyes widened and with my heart started pounding loudly in my chest I looked at Blaise.

His gun is still raised pero halata sa mukha niya na kinakabahan siya upon looking at me. Wala akong nagawa kung hindi ang mapapikit lang.

I should've known better. Damn, this is what I get for being over confident. I perfectly know that there is a chance that we'll come face to face with Glicerio like this pero mas umiral pa rin sa'kin ang pride. We should have Hunter Fourteen involved here.

Napadilat ako as I heard the man cocked his gun which is still pointed at my head. Isang kalabit lang niya nun ay kakalat na ang utak ko.

"I am going to repeat the question.. what are you going to do now, Blaise Rafaelo Gandia?" si Glicerio ulit sa mapang-asar na tono.

I saw Blaise gritted his teeth at that. Ibinaba niya ang baril at pinatong yun sa mesa. I almost groaned out loud. We're doomed. We're cornered. We're done.

"Deal with me. Pakawalan mo ang asawa ko" seryosong sabi niya as he raised two hands up. Glicerio smiled at that. He's obviously enjoying this.

"Blaise!" saway ko dahil wala naman akong plano na manood lang. He looked at me then smiled weakly.

"No wonder na ganun ang anak mo. May pinagmanahan" naiinis na asik ko kay Glicerio. I was about to hit him pero mabilis akong nahawakan ng tauhan niya.

Nakita ko na may dumaan na galit sa mga mata niya pero agad din naman siyang napangiti. He even had the audacity to tap his fingers on the table sa nang-aasar pa rin na paraan. I growled at that kaya naramdaman ko ang pagdiin ng baril sa ulo ko.

"You still don't get it do you? Do you think I will just allow two scums from Herondale High to tarnish my name and my family?" makamandag na tanong niya.

I balled my fist at that. "Kung mayroon man walang kwenta rito, ikaw yun at ang anak mo. You don't deserve to be in this office!" I retorded pero wala siyang naging tugon. Kungsabagay, isa nga pala siya sa mga politiko na makapal ang mukha. Yung tipong hindi na tinatablan nang masasakit na salita dahil sa mga kabalbalan na ginagawa niya.

He let out a harsh breath instead then looked at Blaise with a cunning smile playing on his lips.

"What are you going to do now, Blaise? For a moment there napabilib mo ako. You're smart.. but not smart enough to realize that this is my territory and I have people here" he said instead, completely ignoring me.

"Stop talking in riddles. Tell me what do you want para pakawalan mo ang asawa ko" balewala ni Blaise sa sinabi niya.

"Wife, huh? How old are you? You're too young for that dapat pag-aaral niyo muna ang inaatupag niyo" Glicerio said back again in a teasing tone.
