Chapter 84: Make Him

I keep telling myself that Kuya CL didn't mean what he said but I can't really convince myself because deep down inside I know that he'll really do it.

Alam kong hindi lang siya nadala ng galit. Kuya CL is the kind who will do what he said he will do. Kung magmamatigas ako sa kanya, alam kong tototohanin niya talaga yun.

This is not just about our relationship anymore. This is about me choosing him over my family already or the other way around.

Naputol ang pag-iisip ko when I heard patterned knocks on my door. Hindi nagtagal ay bumukas yun and it revealed Kuya GD. He smiled weakly at me as he closed the door behind him.

"Can I talk to you?" he asked in a sweet tone but underneath it I know that he's troubled. I forced a smile as I nodded and motioned at him to sit on the bed.

None of us said a word for a couple of minutes until he let out a heavy sigh then looked at me.

"What CL said last time.. alam kong tototohanin niya yun. Alam kong alam mo yun" he started

"Knowing him, alam kong gagawin niya yun" I answered tonelessly as I think of all the possibilities that might happen.

Kung sasabihin ko ang tungkol dito kay Blaise, alam kong mas magiging malala lang ang mga bagay. I know him. I know that he loves me so much that he will rather die than lose me. I don't question that. Alam kong ganun ang gagawin niya.

But that's not how it is for me. I can't live a life without him in it. It will be hell for me but I'd rather love him from a distance than to lose him in this life. Hindi ko kakayanin na mawala siya sa'kin. Hindi ko kakayanin..

I felt Kuya GD's hand on mine and he entwined our fingers together.

"This is all on you, princess. Walang makapagdedesisyon dito kung hindi ikaw lang. You know, there are choices in this life that are painful pero pipiliin mo pa rin dahil yun ang makabubuti"

I felt my throat tighten at that as tears make their way down my cheeks.

"What should I do, kuya?" I asked helplessly

He shook his head. "I don't know, princess. I really don't know too"

I texted Blaise and I told him that we'll meet in his condo. Thankfully, pumayag naman siya.

On my way to him I stopped in a grocery and grabbed some stuffs. I am planning to cook for him today. I want to do something for him.

Nang makarating na ako sa tapat ng unit niya ay nag doorbell ako kaagad. Wala pang five seconds when he opened the door and welcomed me with a kiss on the lips.

"Hey, ano tong mga dala mo?" nagtatakang tanong niya as he reached for the eco bag kung nasaan ang mga binili ko.

"I want to cook for you today. Is it okay?" pumasok na kami and I am the one who closed the door behind me.

"I don't see anything why not. Gusto mo ba tulungan kita?" he offered and I nodded to him, smiling.

His place still looks like the same I remember it. Except that this time I can sense the sadness that is slowly swelling in my heart.

This could be the last time na makikita ko ang lugar na to.

Dumiretso kami sa kitchen niya kung saan inilabas namin ang mga binili ko. I intend to cook fried chicken and chopsuey for him. Hindi naman ako ganun kagaling magluto but I used to be amazed watching our maids cook kaya kahit paano ay may alam ako.
