Chapter 89: Get Out

Weeks passed since Blaise and I met the last time dahil busy siya. Though he never fail to call or send me a message everyday. Sometimes, nagpapa deliver pa siya sa office o dito sa bahay ng chocolates o pagkain.

Ayokong bigyan ng ibig sabihin ang mga gesture niya na yun pero hindi ko mapigilan.

"Ari!" I heard someone from outside called. Binitawan ko muna ang ginagawa ko then sprinted towards the door.

I was kind of expecting that it's Blaise pero hindi pala. It's Captain.

"Bakit ganyan ang hitsura mo? Aren't you happy that I am here?" he asked and faked a wounded face. Mabilis naman ako na umiling.

"It's not like that. Nagulat lang ako dahil hindi ko ine-expect na darating ka. Don't you have work?" tanong ko sa kanya and let him in. He automatically slumped himself on the couch like he usually does when he visits me.

"Nah. Training is cancelled this week dahil foundation week ng Phylisse" he answered. I just nodded at that. I feel somewhat jealous that he gets to rest this week.

Though I know that he deserves it. Captain has been working hard on coaching the volleyball team of Phylisse. Naaalala ko nun na napakaraming schools ang nag-agawan sa kanya after he finished his course na may kinalaman sa pagco-coach. Hanggang college kasi ay varsity siya and he's quite famous dahil bukod sa gwapo ay magaling din siya. Schools practically courted him. Even Herondale High. Yet pinili niya ang Phylisse Academy na nung mga panahon na yun ay palaging huli sa rankings because he believe that they need him. And so far, Phylisse is doing really great thanks to him.

"Let's have lunch out, can we? Namimiss na kita. I'm curious what you've been doing these past few days. Nabalitaan ko na nakabalik na si Blaise. Have you seen each other already?"

Hindi ko napigilan ang gulat sa tanong niya na yun because I wasn't expecting it.

I reluctantly nodded. "Yeah though hindi sinasadya. Russel invited me to his party and nagulat na lang din kami na dumating doon si Blaise" I tried to sound casual

"Well.. anyway, can we go now? We'll have our usual. Korean barbeque"

"Sure basta libre mo ha?" pagbibiro ko at nagpaalam na muna ako sandali para makapagbihis.

Through the years, Captain and I also remained close. Kahit noong college days namin ay madalas pa rin kami magkita kahit na magkaiba ang school na pinapasukan namin. We made sure na updated kami sa mga pangyayari sa buhay ng isa't-isa. Though I didn't tell him about the part that I went to Blaise sa New York nun.

"Go and choose kung anong gusto mo unahin natin" he said as he handed me the menu and let me choose the meat we're going to cook and eat first. Last time kasi na nandito kami siya ang pumili so now it's my turn.

"You know.. parang may nagbago sa'yo. You look blooming" he started when the waitress left.

I rolled my eyes "Ikaw lang ang nakapansin nyan. Anyway, nataunan mo lang siguro na blooming ako dahil hindi ako pumasok ngayon but my usual days in shop? I look terrible"

He chuckled at that "I never saw you terrible. You always look pretty"

Nag-iwas ako ng tingin sa kanya and playfully hit his arm. I've been hearing words of admiration from him since then pero hindi talaga ako komportable kapag ginagawa niya yun.

Hanggang ngayon kasi hindi ko pa rin makalimutan yung nangyari nung graduation party niya. He was drunk that time then he confessed his feelings to me. I was so shocked that I wasn't able to stop him when he kissed me.

Pero kinabukasan nun ay wala siyang maalala that's why despite of that magkaibigan pa rin kami. I didn't bother to bring it out anymore.

When the meat came naging abala na kami sa pag kain. Captain voluntary did the cooking as he filled my saucer with the meat. Nagkwentuhan kami habang kumakain. I told him everything that's happened to me these past few days, leaving the details about me and Blaise. Wala akong balak sabihin kahit kanino yun. Not even to Trina and Gail.
