Chapter 75: Behind The Mask

Para hindi naman kami gaano mahalata, we started to roam around and watch people.

Hindi man nila directly sabihin sa'kin pero alam ko na kahit paano ay nakaramdam sila ng takot dahil sa sinabi nung lalaki kanina. I can see it on the way they drink straightly.

I know that the guy meant when he said that what we're doing is deadly dangerous. Na kung nagkataon nga siguro na iba ang nakalaro namin kanina, malamang patay na kami ngayon.

"What are we going to do now?" Blaise asked as he inched closer to me. Hinubad niya ang coat niya at isinuot sa'kin yun when maybe he noticed na nilalamig ako. Despite of the mess we are in right now hindi ko mapigilan mapangiti.

"We have to step up our game. But this time we need to be careful. We should not just ask people directly who is Day Lighter" I said

Wayne nodded in agreement. "Yeah we should make up a story. Start a conversation then casually include Day Lighter in the topic"

"Kailangan na natin kumilos. Huwag na tayong magsayang ng oras. Anong alam mong laruin at saan ka magaling?" Peter asked Wayne

"Poker"

"Then let's find a table na poker ang nilalaro"

Tumayo na kaming lahat then started to walk around again. It's just nine in the evening pero marami na akong nakikitang lasing. I casually look around and there I saw them.

Maraming securities dito. They are blending in but there's a way to tell that they're one. Mayroon silang mga suot na earpiece and every now and then I can see them opening their mouths and saying something.

We really have to be careful.

"Hey kids!" an old man yelled at us at sumesenyas na lumapit kami sa kanya. Nagkatinginan muna kaming apat before we walk our way to him.

By the looks of him mukhang hindi siya basta-bastang tao lang. He has so many bodyguards behind him and an escort that sits beside him. Nanliit ang mga mata ko when she actually winked at Blaise.

"You look bored, sir. Wala na bang gusto makipaglaro sa'yo?" Peter asked him in a friendly tone as we approached him. A long table is in the middle of us and cards are scattered on it. Mukhang katatapos niya lang maglaro

"I am the King of Poker here. I always win. Wala pang nakakatalo sa'kin dito" the old man said proudly as he sipped on his glass of brandy.

Umangat ang dulo ng labi ni Wayne. "Really? Then maybe we should play. I know how to play Poker. Let's see who's the real king"

The old man let out a hearty laugh. I don't know whether he thinks that Wayne is ridiculous o natutuwa lang talaga siya. "How old are you son?"

"Sixteen"

"Too young. What makes you think that you will stand a chance?" nakataas ang kilay na sabi niya

Wayne shrugged his shoulders "I love playing Poker and I also usually wins as well. Isang beses pa lang akong natatalo" he said innocently

"How much do you have there?"

"A hundred thousand. My friends and I just wanna drink here and maybe get some drugs. We didn't bring much cash"

The old man looked at me and gave me a perverted smile. Kung hindi ko lang napigil ang sarili ko nasaksak ko na ang mata niya gamit ang brooch pin na nakakabit sa blouse ng escort niya.

"Then how about this beautiful lady right here?"

"Our friend is a virgin. Pwede ko siyang isali sa pusta ko but then you would also have something that I want"
