Chapter 83: The Line

"Hey" napalingon ako roon sa nagsalita. I smiled weakly when I found Gail on the doorway of my bedroom. Sumenyas ako na pumasok siya and she did.

"Napapansin ko na nitong mga nakaraan parang wala kang gana. You don't even leave your room unless you need to" she said worriedly and even caressed my forehead as if checking if I have fever.

Hindi ako sumagot. She also just look at me then she held my hands tightly.

"I know things are hard right now.. alam kong nasa alanganing posisyon ka rin ngayon and you know what, it's okay. Sometimes it's okay not to be okay" she said

At that, bigla na naman bumuhos ang mga luha ko. I am only thankful that she's not telling me stop dahil nahihirapan talaga ako sa lagay ng mga bagay ngayon.

It's been how many days already since the last time I talked to Blaise and since then hindi na nasundan yun. He's been calling and texting me pero ni isa ay wala akong sinagot.

And it's not that I don't love o ayaw ko na sa kanya. It's just things are really hard for me right now. Hindi ko na alam kung saan ako lulugar. How can I be a girlfriend to him and at the same time, maging myembro ng pamilyang ito?

"Ganito na lang.. bakit hindi tayo lumabas ngayon? I mean, nalulungkot na rin kasi ako na nandito lang ako sa loob eh. How about we go somewhere else? Gusto ko sana doon sa park malapit sa school. Favorite place namin yun ni Rennan because that's when we had our first kiss. Pwede mo ba ako samahan?"

I nodded because I also like her idea. Mabilis kong pinunasan ang mga luha ko. "That one sounds good to me. Well, just wait for me here. Maliligo lang ako" I told her and make my way towards my bathroom.

When I looked at my reflection in the mirror medyo nagulat pa ako. My eyes have dark circles under it and it seems like mas pumayat ako. My cheekbones and collarbones are more visible.

Napabuntong hininga ako. Pati kalusugan ko naaapektuhan na ng mga nangyayari.

It was Gail who told Kuya CL that we're going out so no questions were asked aside from telling us to be careful. Wala kasi si dad ngayon. He traveled to America para kausapin ang parents ni Gail so the one in charge at home is Kuya CL.

Ihinatid kami ng driver namin at nang makarating kami, Gail told him na tatawag na lang kami kung susunduin na kami.

Upon taking in the place, natigilan ako. This place used to remind me of Maven but this time, si Blaise na ang naaalala ko.

Nagpunta na kami rito before. It was when he went to school at sunduin ako para makapag-usap kami dahil galit ako sa kanya when he kissed me at sabihin niya ang pangalan ni Maoi. Dito kami pumunta nun. I can even see the bench from here kung saan kami umupo at nag-usap.

"Come on" Gail said and even dragged me by my arm hanggang sa makapasok kami sa park. Umupo siya sa swing at ganun din ako. Nayakap ko ang sarili ko as I felt the cold air kissed my skin.

"Napanaginipan ko si Rennan, kagabi" she started kaya napatingin ako sa kanya.

"Anong ginagawa niya sa panaginip mo?" tanong ko at hindi mapigilan makaramdam ng kaunting inggit.

I've been also feeling so down these past few days pero bakit hindi sa'kin nagpaparamdam ang kambal ko?

"He was just standing and smiling habang ako naman iyak nang iyak at pilit siyang inaabot pero hindi ko kaya" she sighed

"I want to break down more, Ari. I want to cry myself more pero pinipilit kong magpakatatag para sa anak namin. I lost Rennan already and this time I can't lose this baby too" she said sadly and even caressed her stomach.
