For the most part, you were enjoying your conversation with Goku, getting to know him more and hearing about when Gohan was younger through his perspective. It made you happy to hear that even when Gohan was really young that he was so loving and great to be around. You and Goku also got to know each other better while you ate. You learned very quickly that he comes off as rather irresponsible and practically impulsive when it comes to certain situations. Considering the type of women Chichi appears to be, you're almost surprised she puts up with him. But, you don't want to be one to judge since you are going to marry his eldest son.

At the same time, you were grateful that Chichi has raised such a wonderful son because he doesn't have his father's mannerisms at all.

How did she do it?

"It's was so nice speaking with you Goku but Gohan and I have to get ready to go."

"Awwe! Leaving so soon?!"

"It's the afternoon now. We have to start making plans to meet with my parents for New Years. It's going to take up a lot of time believe it or not."

Gohan walked right in at the moment.

"Really? You don't have to force yourself to see them if you don't want to just cause it's the holidays?"

"I think so long as we go together, things won't be as bad as I think they'll turn out."

He smiled a little.

You walked over to the sink, cleaned your plate, and walked back to Goku to give him a big hug. Even though his flaws seem like they can be very cumbersome, he does has a big heart. You and Gohan said goodbye to his family, hugged and kissed everyone and were on your way back to your place.

"Hey. Would you like to fly home?"

"All the bags won't be too much for you?"

"Nonsense! This is a piece of cake for me!"

"Speaking of cake, we should buy a small one on the way home."

"Is there a special occasion we have to celebrate?"

"No. I just want some cake for home."

"That's a great idea. But, I think we should stop by the house first and then go to the bakery."

"You're right. We have a lot of stuff to carry. Wouldn't want to go to the bakery with a bunch of Christmas gifts."

Gohan held onto most of the bags while you carried the rest. You two decided to fly back to your place since that would take up less time. You two were thinking that Gohan would spend the night with you and then go back home the night after. As you two were now flying home, Gohan brought up the topic again about meeting your parents.

"Hey. I don't want to be too invasive but are you sure about us going to see your parents? You were very distressed about it before..."

"I know...maybe I'm just on a Christmas/holiday high and probably not thinking straight."

"I...just want to look out for you. I don't want you to force yourself."

You paused for a moment to think. You didn't want to Gohan to meet your parents because you were so scared about things possibly escalating with your parents. Despite all the fighting and injuries, your parents decided to stay together and not get a divorce. You couldn't help but think they would probably be better off divorced. But, they're traditional that way. Maybe this is something you should sleep on.

"You know what? Maybe I should sleep on it."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah. I should consider going. I haven't seen them in years and I want them to know about you. I think things might go a wrong way if we got married and didn't tell them."

"I get what you mean. I'll support whatever decision you make and I'd be more than happy to go see your parents if you decide on us going. Even if you decide no, I'm happy so long as you're happy."

You smiled.

"Thank you so much for understanding, Gohan. I love you."

"I love you too." He gave you an air kiss and you returned it. It didn't take long until you two arrived at your place. He slowly set you down on the ground and you walked over to unlock the door. Opening the door, you gestured for Gohan to go in first since he had a majority of the bags. He kissed you on the cheek as he passed by you, walked into the living room and set down all the bags. You closed the door behind you and followed suit. You set the rest of the bags on the floor and stared at them.

"What's the matter?"

"It's going to be a lot of work putting everything away. Bulma was so generous with her gifts."

"I know! She's an amazing gift giver."

"I still can't believe your dad is friends with such a business tycoon."

"My dad is a very friendly guy. He has made many different friends throughout his life."

"I hope we can make a lot of friends too."

"That would be nice." He responded while proceeding to move his arms around your waist to bring you in to give you a soft kiss on the lips.

"Ready to go to the bakery?"

"Yes, sir!" You said raising your arms. You took Gohan's hand and led him out the door. You locked the door behind you and you two started walking casually to one of his favorite bakeries. He told you about it on one of your dates.

"Are we going to the place I told you about?"

"Yep! I can't get enough of that place now. I love how moist their cakes are. I love the place so much that I want to support them. I can't help but to buy an entire cake instead of a slice."

"That's so sweet of you."

"It's the least I can do." You were so happy to have alone time with Gohan again. Even though you two are engaged now, you still get a little shy when holding hands with him. You looked at the ring he gave you and it almost felt surreal. You were so happy to be getting married to a man who has loved you so much since the very beginning. The fact that he wants to continue loving you for a long as he can - brings such warmth to your heart.

You two arrived at the bakery and you rushed to the display full of different cakes.

"Which one do you want Gohan?"

"Strawberry?"

"Hi!" You said to the cashier.

"Can we get one strawberry cake and one sponge with fruit cake please."

"Yes, you may. Will that be all?"

"Yes!" You replied giving them the money. They rung you up and gave you your change. You watched as the cashier walked over to get two boxes and carefully placed both cakes in separate boxes. The cashier also tied a thin piece of rope around the boxes to secure them. You got both of the cakes in both your hands and told the cashier thank you and to have a wonderful day. Right as you turned around, Gohan gave you a small peck on your forehead. You closed your eyes as you smiled so big. When you opened your eyes, your hands were empty.

"Gohan! I can carry them."

"I know but I wanna help." How can you say no to that?

"Okay." You said to him as you went to hold hands with him again. He was carrying both cakes with one hand. It was so impressive. From time to time, you always forget how strong he really is. That was when the conversation of the tournament came back to mind.

"Gohan."

"Yeah?"

"Your dad asked me about the tournament earlier and if we talked about it."

"Of course he did. He really wants me to be a part of it."

"You don't want to?"

"I'm just not sure of how long I'll be away and I don't want to be so far away for so long."

Your heart fluttered.

"Awe! But, Gohan! This is something you used to do all the time. I think you might have a good time."

"If only she knew the stakes. I should tell her now..."
