Starscream's P.O.V.

I smirked as I lightly tapped onto Megatron's face, seeing as it was just him and I for the moment.

"Knock knock," I said, tapping once more before leaning closer, "Is anyone in there? No? Oh well." I happily bounced off the side of his berth.

"Seems I possess the only thing that would allow you to rise off that slab and walk again, my dearest Megatron." I replied. I held out the single shard of dark energon between two fingers.

"The only scrap left on this planet," I flung it into the air before catching it, "Plucked from your very spark chamber!" I held the shard before me, staring at Megatron with great intensity.

"But......it cannot restore your mind." I stated. I smirked as I continued.

"The Decepticons need a leader, not a decorative center piece." I said, then gestured to myself in pride.

"And I will convince them that I am the true heir to your throne..." I stroke a pose, holding a fist up in the air.

"With a plan so epic-"

"Not even the mighty Megatron could've conceived it." Feeling startled immediately, I whirled around to face the door and hid the shard behind my back, seeing Knockout lean against the side of the door frame, arms crossed and a smirk plastered on his face. I let out a nervous laugh.

"That was the idea Knockout," I sighed in defeat, "How long have you been there?" He straightened his posture.

"Long enough, and it's Commander Knockout to you," he paused to take a bow, "Once and future Lord Starscream." I smirked at the title. I do indeed enjoy being leader.

"Anyway, I just came in to say that Nightstreal has been looking for you. I believe she is awaiting you at the command deck." Knockout continued. I blinked, surprised, but nodded.

"Very well, I shall go see her then." I said, walking past him, still taking care to hide the dark energon out of his sight. I strode down the hallway all the way to the command deck. The door opened for me and I found Nightstreak at one of the computers, seeming to be looking over a few files. Bloodsurge was by her side, looking at her expectantly. However he soon spotted me, and gave a loud screech.

I winced at the sudden noise, then yelped as he flew over to me, barely clinging onto my shoulder as he nuzzled into my cheek. I growled and tried to push him off.

"You annoying pest! Get off me!" Nightstreak turned to face us.

"Bloodsurge what have I told you about doing that?" she asked. The mini con let out a little growl at this, but flew away from me anyway. I scoffed.

"You should teach that pet of yours some manners." I stated. However I noticed how Nightstreak looked: she wasn't looking directly at my face, but rather kept her screen to the floor, and she held her arm almost.....shyly.  No, not quite that, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I approached her.

"Nightstreak. I uh, understand that you were looking for me." I said. There was a moment of silence, and the atmosphere felt tense. I didn't like the way she was so....quiet. I almost snapped at her to speak until the sudden way she looked at me made the words freeze in my throat.

"Lord Starscream, I....I wanted to apologize for my actions yesterday. I did not mean to act like that, I just.....I don't want to lose Megatron." she replied. I blinked, puzzled by her words. Did she....actually feel guilty? I mean, I was the one that was gonna once again terminate Megatron, and I did smack her in the face while yelling at her, and yet she's the one that feels guilty?
