Chapter 27

Nightstreak's P.O.V.

While Megatron was away most of us Decepticons kept patrol in the command bridge while the Vehicons kept security over the rest of the ship. The whole time I couldn't help but pace back and forth in the large room, worrying over our Master. I knew very well he wasn't in his right mind, blinded by his own eagerness to worry about his own well being. Something of which I fail to understand. I just hope he'll be okay.

"Nightstreak will you calm down. You're gonna wear out your legs." Airachnid said with a her hands on her hips.

"How can I?" I stated. Bloodsurge gave me a concerned chirp, his ears folding back. I sighed.

"I don't get why you're so worried. He might be losing a few screws in his head, but he is still Megatron. One of, if not, the strongest Decepticons ever. He's even more powerful than some of the Autobots. I don't think we have to worry about him getting terminated. The big guy is too stubborn to let his spark get snuffed." Knockout stated. 

"Yeah, even I wouldn't be dumb enough to challenge him." Breakdown added. I placed a hand over my screen, taking a deep breath in and out.

"Alright, alright. Maybe you're right. Maybe I am overreacting a little bit....." I replied. Soundwave did not react much. Rather he just watched us silently, me in particular. I couldn't help but feel he was specifically trying to read me. I'm not sure why-

Suddenly I perked up, looking past the hall. Something didn't feel right.

"An intruder?" I thought. Knockout noticed my sudden alertness, and waved a hand in front of my face.

"Yoo hoo, what's wrong now?" he asked, an annoyed edge to his tone.

".....nothing, I guess. Just, I thought I sensed....an intruder." I said. Knockout chuckled.

"An intruder?! Come on Nightstreak, now your acting paranoid. If there was an intruder, someone would've reported it right away-"

"Sir, we have a problem! Optimus has boarded the ship- GAH!" We all froze as we heard the Vehicon's transmission on the computer, which was cut off by a scream. My spark began to pulse.

"Optimus Prime?!" I cried. Breakdown gave a small gulp.

"That's not good." the wrecker said. 

"Shouldn't someone report this to Megatron?!" Airachnid stated. However suddenly a different transmission was sent to our computer.

"Here this, any Decepticon that lays a hand on Optimus Prime will answer to me." Megatron stated, "Soundwave, lock onto my coordinates.....and lead my opponent to his destiny." Soundwave did just so on his screen. At the same time, he started to turn on a sort of surveillance, which showed Megatron at an erupting volcano. A space bridge was shown, and Optimus walked through it.

"Megatron, today you answer for your crimes against Cybertron and against humanity." Optimus stated to our leader.

"Hold on, how are you able to show this?" Airachnid asked. I looked at Soundwave, then noticed something was missing from his chest.

"Lazerbeak! You sent Lazerbeak?" I asked. Soundwave nodded.

"Hmm, so I guess you weren't the only one who was worried Nightstreak." Knockout replied.

"One shall stand." Optimus said.

"And one shall fall. You! Optimus Prime!" Megatron stated. Both mechs charged for each other and gave each other a big punch. My whole body tensed as the fight began. It was hard to sit here silently while those two fought each other to the death. Megatron was facing Optimus Prime alone, and we could only sit here and do nothing about it except watch.
