Best Friends (SOSventures)

Bands these days. Making up the most random names. Panic!At The Disco, My Chemical Romance, Maroon 5, Imagine Dragons, One fricken Direction. Not that I was making fun of them. They all just had random names. I was friends with one of them. 5 Seconds of Summer. The most random named band out there. They didn't even have 5 people! Had fricken 4! The name doesn't make sense! But, Michael was only like 16 when he made the name up. But geez, could names it 4 Seconds of Summer. Both numbers have F's so why not?

"Don't make fun of us!"

I can make fun of whoever the hell I want Michael! Just kidding! I love you! But I don't blame em. 5 Seconds of Summer does sound cooler than 4 Seconds of Summer. Heck, even their music was cool. I loved being at their concerts, having a backstage pass since I was their best friend. I had been for years. Still am to his exact day. Back in Australia even. People used to make fun of me, saying "Oh look! American in Australia? Why don't you go back to the country of the racists? I mean, you ARE one! You don't even have our accent! You don't belong here!" Yep...great childhood there. But, that's exactly how I met Calum and Michael. I met Luke and Ashton later on in like...9th grade. But until that happened, it had always been the 3 amigos. Calum, Michael, and I. As long as we had each other, we didn't care what the others said. We didn't care who they were, or what they meant. We only cared for each other. We were always with each other, next to each other, somehow in each other's presence. We couldn't be 5 feet away from each other. We were the Australian/American Harry Potter trio.

"Hell yeah we were!"

Calum! Wow love! I know right? We were literally all neighbors. We could climb up to out roofing and talk to each other. Used to call it Roof Talk. We were all together for years. Again, we still are to this very single f**king day.

Then came Luke. Oh...how it was with Luke. At the time, Michael and Luke HATED each other. Which made Calum and I have to hate him as well. Well, not hate him. Calum and I both thought that Luke was a pretty cool guy. But we didn't really have any conversations with Luke until one day in one of our classes when I got put next to Luke, and Michael and Calum got put in a group with us. Calum and I were talking about how to do quantum physics correctly as Michael and Luke were glaring at each other. I guess Calum and I got annoyed because we asked them why they hated each other. And it was for the stupidest thing. They both had crushes on the same girl...yep. Wow.  A year and a half of hating each other...because they had the same crush? You've GOT to be kidding me?

"Hey! She was a hotty alright?"

I know because I know her Luke! She's fricken me! I just remember Calum and I sharing a look and  looking back and forth between us, and the 2 boys. Now that I look back on it, it was pretty darn funny. We later got used to Luke and started talking to him. We soon all became no longer the 3 amigos and became...the 3 musketeers.  Cause, ya know how in one of the older movies there's another musketeer and their isn't only 3? There's 4? That's why we called ourselves that. Luke turned out to be exactly what Calum and I suspected, a pretty cool guy. He was into FIFA, music, he could play guitar and Keyboard. Luke was a pretty cool guy.

"Such a sweetheart Kay! I love ya girl!"

Last came Ashton. Honestly, one of my happiest memories. I met him at a African Drum thing he did when he was 16. When he was part of a band called...Swallow the Goldfish... Yeah...great name there. I almost gagged when I first heard the name. (Not really) But when he was performing in the highschool, my cousin was a teacher there and he wanted me to see it so I did. As I was watching it, Ashton came up to me and asked me if I wanted to try it. Now let me tell you, Ashton was a rather outgoing guy to me at the time when he asked me if I wanted to play them. I mean, of course I said yes, but I didn't know him. He was a high schooler. Almost in college. I just remember Ashton sitting down next to me as I began playing them, and him saying, "You don't look like a high schooler. I've never seen you around here before. But you look as attractive as one." I also just remember blushing so hard at the comment as I continued playing those drums. And can I tell you, I remember the fricken SMIRK on that boy's face.

"It wasn't a smirk! It was just a smile!" 

No it wasn't Ash! It was a smirk! I remember it! There's Ashton, telling me it wasn't a smirk. I saw it! Shush! After Ashton joined the group...we became the 5 random idiot best friends doing random Sh*t! Literally. I also remember the guys's first band practice. How he almost didn't make it because he did like FIFA. I swear the guys were about to kill him. I also remember the fricken purple shirt he wore. The other guys made fun of him for it, but honestly I find it highly mother fricken attractive when a man wears a color usually girls wear. Also, he looked pretty damned cute in it!

"Awww ya mean it! Ya liked the shirt?"

Yes I loved the shirt Ashton! Who wouldn't? I know the guys didn't!

Honestly, I love these boys. They make me happy on the darkest of days. Make me laugh when no one else can. Make me smile when they're acting stupid. I'm so glad I could be blessed with such wonderful and cute people! And throughout the years I can feel our bond getting bigger and better. These boys are my life now! Part of my soul! Without them, I'd probably be noting right now. I'd probably mean nothing! I love these boys!
Oh...wait...too deep and serious....uhh the girl that Luke and Michael had a crush on in highschool was me!

"Got damn it Kay!"

What? It's true! You two did! And I didn't share those feelings! You guys got over me when I told you I had a crush on (Ashton/Calum!) (You shall choose one)  Which is true! Since I'm his girlfriend now! Oh shut the hell up my brethren! I know what I'm talking about! Anyways... These dudes are my family! Though I truly did never expect myself to date (Ashton/Calum) later on. They were always attractive, yes. But when in highschool I didn't have a crush on em! 

Again, I love going to their shows. And I bet 2015 is going to give us more suprised then any of the other years! I'm so happy for them and I wouldn't replace them in the world! Thank you all for sticking around for this memorial time! I love you guys! Mwah!
