 The order had been decided. Avery would go first then after a few more students, Izzy would go and then Tori. It was the final day and Izzy's final chance to surpass both Avery and Tori. This would be the end of it all.

Avery held up her cards. "Today, I have both Mum and Dad in the audience cheering for me. I won't let them down, I won't let my fans down. I was only one step away from S4 last year, this year I'll shoot for the stars! Avery Middleton! Let's Rock n' Roll!"

The audience cheered for Avery (Lex cheered louder then anyone else) as her points were counted up and placed on the board. It was a perfect start to the heated battle that would ensue.

Izzy watched from the comfort of her dressing room as student after student after student went on and fell short to Avery's performance. She remembered last year, watching from the sidelines as Avery's points exceeded her own and then Tori exceeded Avery putting Izzy in third.

"Third isn't such a bad place to be." A familiar voice echoed. Who had said that?

Knock! Knock!

"Hai! Dozo!" Izzy said, sure it was a Rainbow Crescendo member there to wish her luck. But the one who opened the door was a boy.

"How ya doing, Izzybella?"

Izzy's heart leapt. "Speed Chaser!" she said as she ran over to hug her childhood friend.

"I feel like I haven't seen you in forever," Chase said as he hugged Izzy.

"I know," Izzy said. "I miss you, you know."

"No you don't," Chase said with a smile.

"Of course I do!" Izzy said, breaking apart from their hug so she could look Chase in the eyes.

"Nah, you're too caught up with your cool idol friends to think about me," Chase said. "You didn't even realize when I wasn't at the last S4 Selections."

"Of course I did! But you were in another part of the country, what could I have done about it? You're my precious friend, Chase. No one could ever take your place." Izzy tried to put all of her unspoken feelings into her eyes so that Chase would get the message.

Chase smiled. "You're giving me the eyes."

"You mean my eyes?" Izzy said.

"No, the eyes," Chase said, ruffling Izzy's hair. "You never change, do you? You're always trying to make me see things your way."
