"I heard you scream. Nightmares again?"

(this takes place after betty's dad is arrested for being the black hood)
Betty's POV
I'm running. My legs are hurting, my lungs are burning, but i don't care. All i care about is getting away from my dad. I turn around and see that my dad is gaining on me, and quickly. I keep sprinting into the forest, dodging branches and tree roots. Then, I feel myself falling down to the ground. I land with a loud thump and groan. I look behind me and there he is, staring at me with those menacing, green eyes. Next thing I know, he's standing above my with a gun pointed to my chest. I scream just as he pulls the trigger and-
I wake up. I wake up with tears sliding down my cheeks, and my heart racing. I look around and see i'm in Jughead's bed. I remember deciding to stay the night so i didn't have to deal with my mother. I am sitting there with my hand on my heart, when a figure moving by the door catches my eye. I look up and there my boyfriend is, standing with his arm crossed and leaning on the door frame. His dark, wavy locks which are normally tamed by his crown beanie, sit wildly around his head.
"I heard you scream. Nightmares again?" he asks me concerned.
I nod my head as more tears fall out. He slowly walks over and sits by me in the bed, while taking me in his arms. I lean back against him as he whispers soothing things in my ears.
"I'm scared" I whispered.
"I know, but you don't need to be with me because I will always protect you." he replied. I smiled slightly, and turned my head up to his.
"I love you so much. Thank you" I pecked his lips and cheek.
"I love you so much more" he said.
