-Time skip 13 years-  (Betty and Jughead are married, and Jellybean is 13)

Betty's POV:

The sound of frantic knocking on the front door, pulls me away from my laptop where I'm watching Stranger Things while Jug is at work. I push the blankets off of my body and quickly run down the stairs, and open the door. Jellybean is standing on the porch, with her head in her hands and shoulders shaking as she cries. I softly grab her arm and pull her into the house, where I lead us to the couch and sit down. I wrap my arm around her shoulder and she leans into me, hiding her face in my neck. I gently rock her back and forth in an attempt to calm her down, and start humming a song in her ear. My singing has always calmed her down, and I know she finds it comforting in her darkest moments.

After a while she's calmed down, and her sobs have turned into quiet sniffles and her body has stopped shaking. She pulls away from me, and I take her hand into mine as I rub her hand with my thumb. She wipes her nose with the sleeve of her shirt and keeps her gaze focused on the coffee table in front of the couch. I grab her chin with my hand and guide her eyes to look into mine.

"What happened?" I ask her, and see her eyes fill with tears yet again. She takes a deep breath and looks away.

"There's this boy I like, and somehow these girls at my school found out that I like him. They started being mean and calling me names, telling me that I'm too fat and that nobody will ever like me. They said I'm a worthless piece of shit." Her voice gets quieter with every sentence, and when she stops talking I feel my heart break into thousands of little pieces.

"I'm so sorry, sweetheart." She scoots back to me and leans her head on my shoulder, and I place my hand on her hair and rub her head. "Can I tell you a story?" I ask her, and feel her nod against my shoulder.

"When I was in high school, there were these girls and they bullied me. Told me that I should go kill myself and that I wasn't lovable. They would follow me home and call me names as I walked down the streets, and said that Jughead would leave me because I wasn't pretty enough or thin enough. Their words really got to me, and I started to believe them. When Jughead found out about the bullying, he was so upset that I thought about myself like that. He said 'Betty, they're just jealous and when people get jealous they tend to tear other people down in order to make themselves feel better and more superior. You are the prettiest girl I've ever seen, and the way you look will never matter because your heart outshines everything, and that's what matters. You are beautiful on the inside and outside, and while those girls might be pretty on the outside they're rotten on the inside. You will always be better than them, and never doubt that for a second.' When he told me that, I felt so much better, and realized it didn't matter what those girls said because I have so many people that care about me, and love me. So, what I'm gonna say to you is that you are beautiful. In every way, and anyway who can't see that isn't worth your time. Don't listen to what those girls say, because they're just jealous they can't be good like you can. Your heart is so full of love, and you can make anyone smile. Your life matters, and you're going to continue blossoming into this kind, smart, funny, beautiful woman. You are better than those girl, always will be."

At this point we both have tears streaming tears down our faces. I pull her close and kiss her forehead as she hugs me tightly.

"As for that boy you like, go for it. Tell him you like him, because you are only 13 once and should take risks. If he doesn't like you then he's missing out an incredible young woman and wasn't worth your time anyway." She smiles and I tuck some hair behind her ears.

"Thank you, Betty. I really appreciate you being here for me."

"Always."
