Pacing back in forth outside of Tian Guang Hall, I subconsciously chew on my finger nails.
"How long has she been in there?" I complain.
"It hasn't even been five minutes, Young Miss," Chuju tells me.
"Well... I'm worried something might go wrong."
"Eh? Young Miss is worried about Sect Leader Gao?" Chuju teases.
I stop moving and scold her, "I'm worried if she doesn't wake up, I'd failed my promise to her. Besides if she revives, most of it is thanks to me. She's gonna owe me big time. Do you know what kind of power it is to have a Sect Leader owe you? We could be swimming in riches or have hundreds of male concubines!"
"Young Miss! Don't say that..."
The doors creak open. Chuju and I see a shy Ming Yan poking her head through.
"Can-- Can one of you hold the cat? I don't want my hands dirty."
In shock, my mouth drops open. "Are you afraid of the cat?"
"Who-- Who says I'm afraid? I just can't do the Summoning with the cat moving so much."
Both Chuju and I are snickering at this point. "Fine, I will hold the cat. Happy?"
She retreats back inside, and I follow her closing the doors behind me.
Fei Fei is huddling in the corner playing with a random string she's found. I swiftly pick her up, petting her gently until I could hear purring coming from her small body.
"Good. Just stand at the end of golden bed there. I will start the Soul Harmony Summoning."
I nod, ready for anything.
She does various hand movements with grace as if slowly dancing through the resistance of water. White lights form to follow her movements and soon the sun's ray highlighted the energy arising from Ming Yan.
All of the energy in the room creates a mist around Gao Yi Fei's sleeping body. Fei Fei's body turns meek, and she lies weakly in my arms.
A wind of serenity circles around us. I close my eyes and suddenly Fei Fei's body disappears into dust with the wind.
"Ack!" I scream.
I wasn't expecting that to happen!
Soon everything stops and the soothing wind of immense concentrated powers dissipates. Ming Yan rests her hand elegantly down at her sides.
My heart pounds tumultuously when I see the eyelids of Gao Yi Fei flutter.
"It worked..." I whisper in disbelief.
"Ooohhh," Yi Fei moans as her face stretches out and writhe into wrinkles. Her once completely still body moves unnaturally with fingers spread out and knees bending. She sits up and finally notices us in the room with her.
"Sister Mingxian? It's really you."
I nod, acknowledging her greeting. "Hi."
Right away, she puts her legs down and falls to the ground.
"Oh my god!" I exclaim. Reaching her side, I try to help her stand.
"Oh, goodness. I've been in that coma for three-hundred years, I've forgotten how to use my legs," Yi Fei smiles.
She looks happy to finally regain consciousness.
"Sect Leader Gao, this disciple greets you." Ming Yan kneels on the ground, cupping her fists.
