In all my lifetimes of living, never once has anyone turned to ask me to be their woman. Openly profess to me their undying love! Well... except for Yang Zi Huo, but his feelings I'm certain were always frivolous with the attempt to use me. In the end, all men's words are tricks.
I force Qin Yu's hands off and stand. "If you want me to be your woman then get in line."
Staring, Qin Yu stands as well. Although he is much thinner than me, I only measure up to his nose in terms of height.
"I know you don't love me. You only want to use me against Yang Zi Huo. But let me tell you, I won't let anyone use me ever."
He says, "I may or may not use you, but I know that I need you."
"Why would you need me?"
"Even though you are a lesser being, you are no ordinary mortal. You possess a strong energy that diminishes the freezing of my demon blood. Should I reach the point of complete frost, I will not see the death of Yang Zi Huo by own my hands."
What? What is he even going on about? Is this the energy Yang Zi Huo talked about? It's like when Yang Zi Huo was recuperating from the ice venom he said I somehow had the ability to warm his body too.
"Then are you going to absorb my life source?"
If he even thinks to suck out my inner energy, I'd have to kill him!
"That's a possibility. But I cannot kill you right now because if I do and your life source dwindles inside my body, I will be left with no options."

With hands behind his back, he walks pass me. "Of course, I can't let it be known that I am tied to a mortal. I am the Demon Leader of Wicked Mist. It will come across as a shameful act."
What the-- Being with a human is beneath him? Wicked Mist demons must have that prideful mentality. They do hate humans and believe humans are subservient to their kind.
"So what are you going to do? I'm human after all."
"Simple. I can turn you into a demon."
What?! No way! I don't want to become a demon!
As if reading my mind, he says, "Of course, I will not force you."
I let out a sigh of relief. "Well... Thanks, I guess. However, I'm not one to obey commitment. And I really don't see myself with anyone at this time."
"If you want to see the end of Yang Zi Huo, you will see that this is the only option."
I have to think about his proposal. Do I want Yang Zi Huo to die miserably? Perhaps... I feel somewhat like a soft hearted fool for not wanting that. At least not now. As long as he and I are no longer involved then I don't care what happens to him. Retribution needs to be paid.
"Even though I hate Yang Zi Huo, I don't want to be the cause of his end. I'm better than him to want something like that."
Maybe in my heart I still can't bring about his suffering, even though I hope he endures the pain I've felt in all these lifetimes.
Qin Yu scoffs, "You still love him."
"No, I do not!" Qin Yu's words aggravates me immensely. My chest is inflamed with feelings of anger. It is not true! I do not love Yang Zi Huo.
