I lag behind the group, looking at the beautiful trees and green bushes as the adults talk. There's no need for me in their conversations.
I smile widely at a bunch of chirps from birds. Someone screams and I look around. " Andrea?! " Lori calls.
" Help! Help! " Andrea screams and cries. We all run towards her. A woman on a brown horse with a baseball bat knocks the walker down. My heart races as we hurry towards our group member and the stranger.
" Lori? Lori Grimes? Whoa. "
" I'm Lori. " Lori says confused.
" Rick sent me. Ya gotta come now. There's been an accident. Carl's been shot. "
My heart pounds again. Two out of three kids are either hurt or missing. I'm the last kid. What's going to happen to me?
