My first day back here and I've already encountered vampires. Now I'm having a stare down with a three man pack. Why do I have such terrible luck? The guy in front had to be in his twenties, and was most definitely the alpha. The other two were about my age (well the age that I appear).

"You do know that it's rude to stare?" I say breaking the silence because it was really getting awkward and I hate awkward moments.

"We're just admiring the view?" One of the ones in the back says while checking me out. Gross.

"Well they are really handsome guys, I didn't think you swung for that team," I retort causing Jake, Quil and Embry to chuckle.

I know I shouldn't tick off a wolf because anger is what causes them to shift, but sometimes I couldn't help myself. However I realized that I must've hit a nerve because the guy started breathing heavily and was shaking.

"Paul calm down," the leader states turning to his friend who was clearly about to shift but he couldn't do it out in public.

"I'd listen to your friend," I state looking at them "We wouldn't want to reveal your furry little secret now would we," which caused all of them to stare at me in shock.

Jokes on them though because I gave them their powers and I can easily disable them so that they can't just shift in public, I suppose I could fully take them away but then there wouldn't be anyone to protect their tribe.

"We have no idea what you're talking about," the last one states with a malicious look in his eyes which only made me smirk.

"Oh you know exactly what I'm talking about pup," I say "Now if you don't mind, you interrupted our conversation," then gave them a small wave before they stocked off.

Of course this pack had to be made up of guys with severe anger issues and cocky remarks. Well for now it was, until the three boys behind me shifted. Which was going to happen really soon.

"Nyarah, that was amazing," Embry says as I turned back around to look at them. Their smiles were so big and they had amused looks on their faces.

"Yeah," Jake says glaring at the retreating backs of the pack "No ones ever talked to them like that and put them in their place,"

I grinned "I'm not scared of that pack of puppies," I declared. Which was true. There are far worse things on this planet than wolf shifters. Humans, for example, are one of them. Some humans can be more terrifying than a vampire, wolf, or a witch.

Humans are always at each other's throats and can be very hostile and malicious. I've lived through so many wars, genocides, homicides, and other destructive situations that had life changing consequences.

History always had a way of repeating itself. Over, and over and over again. Like a clock. Tick. Tick. Tick. Ticking endlessly. Forever.

The boys couldn't stifle their laughs as they let the contagious sounds belt from their mouths. After a few minutes they finally calmed down and Quil walked over to me and put his arm around my shoulders. What a flirt.

"That was badass," he says giving me a wink. Of course my stupid cheeks had to heat up and I was probably as red as a tomato.

"Does this work on girls around here?" I asked looking at Jake and Embry, shaking my head as they laughed.

Embry stepped forward "Not really no. I think it's because he uses horrendous pick-up lines," he states with a shy smile.

A ray of sun began peaking out from behind a cloud as I began to really get a look at him. His shoulder length hair really complimented his already handsome face and I found myself wanting to run my fingers through it, and his skin was the beautiful russet color of all the Quileutes. He was pretty tall as well, and not too lanky, with a bit of a build that would grow as he became closer to shifting for the first time.

I thought that his shy nature was adorable and for some reason I felt drawn to him. I'd never really felt that way towards another person, not even back when my coven was still here. Two seconds of me looking at him and he looked me in the eyes which caused my heart to skip a beat. It was like nothing else on this earth mattered, except for him.

Witch's have this thing where you know you've found your soulmate once you've looked them in the eyes. It was sort of like when the wolves imprint on someone, only 1000× more powerful and we didn't really have a name for it.

My daze seemed to last forever but it was only about two seconds, so the guys didn't really notice.

"It was nice meeting you guys, but I've got homework to do plus school tomorrow. We'll probably see eachother around," I say hoping to not make a fool out of myself.

"Yeah, it was nice meeting you too. See you around," they all said at once, making me laugh. With that I waved goodbye before heading home. And only one thing was on my mind.

I found my soulmate.....
