Donghyeok Kim was born on the 1st of December, 1997. He was 16 when he died.
Donghyeok lived with his parents and a younger sister, before his parents slipt. Surprisingly, he was happy that she was gone, but he still missed her sometimes. His father later remarried a woman who became his stepmother. He loved her, and always claimed that she was his real mother, hugging her, and before the trip, kissing her on the cheek. Donghyeok wasn't close with his other family members, and often relied on his aunt and grandparents instead. Donghyeok was introverted, but he had many friends: Hayong Bin, Soonyoung Hong, Yoonsu Kim, all from class 4 and Jongyoung Hong from class 6. He drew with Hayong, and drew comics with Soonyoung. If he still had free time left, he was gaming. Donghyeok also admired Bratislava Eo a lot. His motto was ''Build skills everyday''. His ultimate dream was to become a web designer.
When Suhyun's phone was recovered, it had footage where Donghyeok was seen. It was filmed about an hour before he died. Donghyeok can briefly be seen in the background, holding onto the bunk, chatting with others, not realizing what is going to happen within an hour. After his death, his mother wrote a letter for him:

His body was recovered and returned to his parents. He now rests at Ansan Sky Memorial Park.
