Jihye Lee was born on the 28th of July, 1983. She was 30 when she died.
Jihye entered Danwon in 2009. She cared for her students, and was like a mother to them. Jihye knew excatly what the students had to do to succeed in life and get to the university of their choice. She was sincere and fun, but she was strict. Jihye invited her students and their families to have dinner with her, and she would save up money to buy gifts to her students.
During the sinking, she advised her students on how to use the life vests, and made sure everyone had one. Then she commanded them to go to the deck, but they didn't know how to get there.
Her body was recovered from the 4th floor without a life vest, and she was surrounded by her students. She was returned to her family and now rests at Hwaseong Sky Memorial Park.
