Dahye Lee was born on the 5th of January, 1998. She was 16 when she died.
Dahye was the eldest child, having one younger brother. Her mother loved to call her 'princess' or 'princess Dahye' She had a close relationship with him, and took care of him like a mother. Her best friend was Haeju Lee from the same class. Dahye had a faith in god, and went to church often. She als had a brigh smile. Her dream was to become a math teacher, because she wanted to give the kids good memories of learning.
Before leaving, Dahye had promised her mother that she'd call her after the ferry arrives to Jeju. Then she left dragging her suitcase filled with food behind her. Her last call was to her mother at 7pm ''The ferry is now leaving to Jeju Island!'' Her mother is still waiting for the call she promised. Dahye also appeared in her mother's dreams. She had laughed when her mother saw her and just said ''Mom, I'm fine.''
Her body was recovered and returned to her parents. She now rests at Pyeongtaek Lakeside Memorial Park.
