Jinhyung Lee was born on the 13th of September, 1997. He was 16 when he died.
Jinhyung loved basketball and soccer since elementary school. If he wasn't playing soccer, he was playing PC games instead. He wanted his dad to play with him too, but he was too busy with work. As he grew older, Jinhyung would ask ''Where are you going?'' when his father was about to leave to work, he would also say ''I know you're not sleeping'' when he went to sleep next to his father. Overall, they had a close relationship. At school he was active at the soccer club, and had 21 friends. They all were excited for the field trip, and promised to do a photoshoot a few days after the trip. Along with Jinhyung, Hyunseob Park and Jumin Park didn't make it out alive. Jinhyung's dream was to become a sociologist, and speak fluent English.
After hearing about the sinking, his father also got the word that everyone on board was rescued and safe at Jindo. He rushed there, and was told that Jinhyung hadn't returned. He returned a few days later, dead.
His body was recovered and returned to his family. He now rests at Pyeongtaek Lakeside Memorial Park.
