Dawoon Lee was born on the 21th of March, 1997. He was 17 when he died.

Dawoon was the eldest child, only having one younger sister. He was very energetic, usually taking care of his younger sister. He often held hands with her, and the other kids thought they were twins. Dawoon also cared for his family, cheering up his brother-in-law and always being up for a hug from his grandparents. Dawoon loved playing the guitar, and had taught himself to play it. He also spent his time working part-time at a store, so he could save up money for gifts. Dawoon also had many friends, Jinsu Park and Yeongin Park were his best friends. Yeongin hasn't returned from the sea, and Jinsu got to meet Dawoon a year later. Dawoon also befriended students who were bullied, going to karaokes or playing soccer with them. Dawoon loved the tv show 'Superstar K' and aspried to become a famous musician. He had practiced a song to play his friends when they get to the ferry.

His sister had started crying before Dawoon left, and he told her ''Don't cry, I'll be back home within a week. We'll see again.''

His body was recovered and returned to his family. He now rests at Pyeongtaek Lakeside Memorial Park.
