Yumin Kim was born on the 14th of January, 1998. She was 16 when she died.
Yumin was the eldest child, only having one younger sister. She cared for her parents, and never wanted to make them worry about her. She made her father buy her the cheapest clothes, and always did her best to make them happy. She had been given 500 000 won to spend on the field trip, and she hadn't spent any of them. Yumin had a good relationship with both of her parents. She might seem quiet and calm on the outside, but she showed her cheerful and active side to her boyfriend and her friends whom she trusted, one of them being Seulgi Kim from the same class. She walked to school with her, and they'd play together if they had free time. Yumin was a part of the school's bowling club. Yumin dreamed of going to college, and majoring in mathematics, a subject she was good in. After graduating, she'd become a banker.
Her body was recovered and returned to her family. She now rests at Hwaseong Sky Memorial Park.
