Sukyeong Kim was born on the 24th of October, 1997. She was 16 when she died.
Sukyeong was the middle child of her family. She cared for her parents, and gave them coupons during their anniversaries. If used, she'd give them a massage or do all the housework for the day. Sukyeong also told her friends to wish her mother happy birthday, as a result, she got a lot of text messages on her birthday. Sukyeong cared, but she was quiet and wanted to help people. She aspired to work for an international aid company.
Her last text message was to her mother. It was sent at 8:46, before the sinking. ''I'm doing well.''
Her body was recovered and returned to her parents. She now rests at Pyeongtaek Lakeside Memorial Park.
