"Hey Jemmy, you know how I kinda have a teeny tiny crush on your boyfriend?" Thomas asked.
James looked at him suspiciously. "Yes.... what about it?"
"Well, I was thinking that maybe we could start a harem and then we could both have him," Thomas s...
Alex barely noticed the rest of the day or his classes as he drifted through them blissfully. Thomas on the other hand, noticed everything far too much and the day dragged on and on, lunchtime never seeming to arrive.
After what felt like hours, it was fourth period, the first class Thomas had with Alex on Fridays. He rushed to the classroom, sitting down in his allocated seat next to Alex.
Alex's eyes snapped to Thomas's face as he threw himself down in his seat. He chuckled slightly, saying, "That excited to see me Tom?" Thomas blushed a deep red, sinking down in his chair.
Their teacher, a sub for once, was Mr Hansen. When he saw Alex and Thomas flirting and giggling together, he squealed and had to leave the room to calm down. When he came back he began the lesson, forcing Alex and Thomas to concentrate.
When the bell eventually rang, signifying the beginning of lunch. Unlike Thomas who rushed to pack his things away and stand up, Alex took his time, putting his stuff away neatly. Thomas quickly got impatient and, instead of just bouncing on his toes, stuffed Alex's things into his bag, grabbed Alex's hand and pulled him out of the stuffy classroom.
The two stumbled out of the school gates, laughing together as they collapsed on a bench. Gasping for breath, Thomas asked, "Why the hell do you take so long to pack?"
Alex shrugged, a smile lingering on his face as he leaned into Thomas's side. Thomas automatically wrapped his arm around him, a matching smile painted on his face as he looked at the small figure curled up next to him.
They stayed like that for a few minutes before realising that they were on a time limit. The two jumped up, Thomas a couple of seconds behind Alex causing them to bang heads.
They rubbed their heads before speed-walking towards a nearby sandwich shop. They placed their orders and got their food before sitting down at a corner table and looking over the table at each other.
"So..." Thomas started awkwardly. "What are we Alexander?" Alex's face wrinkled as he thought of a response.
Then he leaned across and said directly to Thomas's face, "What do you want us to be?" Thomas's breath hitched at his proximity.
He started stammering, "I, well um, I want, er, us to be a, um, couple. If you, erm, if you don't want that then, uh, that, that's fine obviously. Can, em, can you move back a bit, please?" Alex blinked and sat back in his seat.
"I mean, of course I want us to be a couple. But I don't want you to feel pressurised in any way. I want you to want me, to want us. If that makes any sense," he laughed nervously.
Thomas let out a sigh of relief. "Of course I want you. Of course I want us. I think I'm in love with you, Alexander, and I like it. You- god. You're so perfect and I don't get how you're attracted to a mess like me," he admitted.
Alex giggled and Thomas knew immedietly that he wanted to make him make the sound more. "Would you believe me if I said that I'd had the exact same thought about you. Because, Thomas, you are- you're Thomas Jefferson. And that's more than I can ever deserve. And it's what I love you for. You're flawless, Thomas. I wish you could see that about yourself," he said.
Thomas reached across the table and connected their hands, the two sandwiches forgotten. "How do you always know what to say? You say too much, but it's always exactly what I need to hear. Thank you Alexander, for always being there," he said, casually getting lost in Alex's eyes.
Alex blushed, turning his head to the side to hide. "Thanks," he said shyly. Thomas's spare hand touched his chin and turned Alex to face him.
"I mean it, Lex. You're freakin perfect, darlin'. Really," he told him, his eyes wide open and earnest. Alex smiled.
"Thanks Tommy," he said, his hand that wasn't being held capturing Thomas's cheek. Thomas leaned into it, practically purring. Alex giggled again at the sound.
Thomas smiled in triumph. "I love that sound," he told Alex, rubbing his cheek into Alex's hand. Alex's head cocked to the side like a confused dog's.
"What sound?" he asked, unconsciously stroking Thomas's face. Thomas made the near purr sound and Alex giggled yet again at it, somehow an automatic reaction.
"That sound that you make when I purr," he said, his hand reaching to the back of Alex's hair and removing his ponytail. When his hair was loose, Thomas shook it out with one hand, Alex's eyes closing in bliss as he leaned back into Thomas's hand.
Thomas smiled at the picture in front of him. "You like that darlin'?" he asked, continuing to shake his hair. Alex couldn't speak so he just nodded. Thomas laughed lowly.
The two stayed there for a few minutes, not eating, Thomas's hand in Alex's hair. The two just enjoyed each others company. After too little time together, though, they had to go to school.
Thomas stood up, stretching. "C'mon darlin, we'd best head back," he said, coming round to Alex's side of the table and offering him his hand.
Alex took it, a blushing mess, and the two swung their linked hands between them as they walked back to school.
Alex leaned into his boyfriend as they strolled through the busy streets of New York City. Boyfriend. He went over and over the word mentally, blushing at the mere thought of the fantabulous man next to him being his boyfriend.
Thomas picked up on the blush and squeezed Alex's hand. "What's up?" he asked, an arm snaking around the younger's waist.
Alex blushed even more deeply at the gesture and made a strangled squeaking sound. Thomas chuckled.
"Come on silly. We're gonna be late," he teased, chuckling at Alex's instant change of both expression and pace.
"Tommy hurry up! We can't be late," he whined, dragging his boyfriend behind him.
Thomas smirked and scooped Alex into his arms. He started running back towards the school, Alex squealing and battering his chest.
"Thomas Jefferson put me down," he yelled as he burst out laughing. Thomas set him down gently outside the school gates.
"There you go. You got what you wanted. We're back at school early and I put you down," he teased again.
Alex laughed leaning into his side. "Today was pretty fun. I enjoyed it," he said, smiling into Thomas's eyes and making the taller boy go weak at the knees.
"Yeah, me too," Thomas replied, spontaneously pulling his boyfriend in for a hug.
"We should do it again," Alex said into Thomas's chest. Thomas nodded and released Alex.
"Yes, we should. But you know what we should do right now? Go to class," he said, a wicked smile on his face as Alex took in the empty halls around them.
He gasped and ran off in the direction of the math department, flipping Thomas off lovingly. Thomas chuckled and casually walked to Art.
When he entered the classroom the teacher sighed but marked him down as late and he went to sit with James.
"Where were you?" James hissed. Thomas didn't bother answering, he just shrugged and listened to the teacher start their lecture.

Sorry this is pretty late. I should've updated a while ago but fluff isn't really my forte. I also went on a walk up a pretty cool hill and this is the view I got.
