Wyatt's POV:

The school day went but fast since I was asleep for most of it. Lance's dad is driving up to their house right now

"How was school kids"

"It was fun we all did our work"Emmet said

"Well most of us did" Jesse muttered

"Most of you" he raised his brow

"I was excused to take a nap for the rest of the day" I said

"Really your teacher gave you permission to sleep the entire school day" I nodded

"I find that hard to believe maybe you'll be honest to your dads" he said

"Go ahead I'm telling the truth. I don't care enough to lie" I said

"It's true! We had to do multiplication today and the teacher said if Wyatt could get the answers to 3 questions right he could do whatever he wanted for the day" Flynn added

"Yeah he even got 12x17 without hesitating"

"Wow you're really smart"

"No I'm just knowledgeable" Jesse scoffed causing me to roll my eyes

"Ignore her, Jesse is just jealous that you're so smart and she need lots of tutors and studying to pass" Lance teased

"Fuck You" she yelled

"JESSICA ANNALISE OWENS WATCH YOUR MOUTH" that made Jesse sink into her seat

"Lance don't be mean" I said

When we got to their house we went to the backyard which had a huge treehouse. Jesse got a long talk from Maddox I felt bad

"So Wyatt wanna help us with homework" Emmet asked and I nodded

"Ugh you think you're so smart cause you got 3 questions right" Jesse sneered

"I don't think I'm smart at all. I hate that I know more than people my age but that's not my fault don't take it out on me"

"But it's so annoying I have to try really hard and you don't even care. I don't understand how you can hate school especially when you're at the top. All you care about is soccer and it's so annoying"

"I have a good reason to hate school. I love soccer because..." I stopped

"Because what and what reason could you have to hate school"

"It's none of your business please leave me alone" I asked

"Why do you hate my uncle" she asked

"Cause he's a bad person"

"How do you know him"

"I can't tell you"

"Then I'll ask him"

"Then tell me"

"You have to promise you won't tell anyone not even him"

"Deal" I looked at the guys and they nodded

"He raped and killed my mom when I was four"

"Afterwards I wanted justice for my mom so I thought I could put him in jail. The case was immediately dismissed and he laughed at me and promised to ruin my life. He made every foster family return me and say awful things about me so I wouldn't be adopted. He had my uncle abuse me for years then someone saw my marks and he went to prison. Yesterday he gave my my mother's photo album and I was so happy but he filled the last few pages of her corpse. He even put in a selfie of him that night. He wrote me note saying if I told anyone he'd make my family return me and kill all of you. Except for you he said he'd do what he did to my mom to you" I had tears streaming down my face I was surprised when they hugged me even Jesse

"You have to tell our parents"

"I can't telling you guys was already too much"

"We need a plan" Jesse said

"On Saturday I'm gonna see if I can make a deal with him so he leaves everyone alone. I considered killing him but dad said it'll start a war and I wouldn't want my family getting hurt"

"What if he makes you leave" Emmet asked

"Then I'll leave"

"That's not fair he'll just keep hurting you. I'm sorry I was mean and jealous but I don't want you to leave you belong with us"

"It's fine. You guys were my first friends in a long time and I've been the happiest I've ever been. Thanks"

"No your family is powerful and so is ours so please"

"I can't, after the ball I'll figure it out promise me you won't say anything"

"No I can't let you leave"

"Please Jesse"

"Fine but I have to tell you something on Saturday" I nodded

"Let's enjoy my time here" I smiled
