Wyatt's POV:

Daddy has been back for two weeks and today I get to meet his family. I'm so excited! He says they're religious.

Ding dong

That's the doorbell I come barreling downstairs to the door which daddy is in the process of opening

"Wyatt this is Pastor Henry his wife Penelope and their daughter Evangeline" why does he refer to them that way

"Hi it's nice to meet you all" I ran and hugged them and they chuckled

"Aren't you just the cutest"

"Can I call you grandma penny" I asked and she nodded

"Well is someone going to grab our bags" father asked and dad rolled his eyes then snatched their bags

"We just finished preparing lunch let's head to the dinning room" Daddy escorted them and dad came down shortly

"Hey dad there's a tournament during the thanksgiving weekend in Portugal what's the likelihood of you signing the forms" I ask nervously

"Not a chance in hell"

"How about a chance on earth" I winked

"Sorry Wy but thanksgiving is about family and appreciation" daddy interjected

"Then the whole family can come and we can appreciate the goals I score"

"The answer is no Wyatt now drop it" daddy said strictly

"How about christmas and New Years it's in Italy which works"

"What part"

"Bari"

"I'll talk to my family but chances are low because that's fairly far from us"

"I'll take a maybe over a no" I smiled and dad chuckled

"So you play soccer" pastor Henry asked

"Yup Im really good at it too. When I grow up I'm going to be a soccer player" I beamed

"It's good to dream big but always have something practical to fall back on" auntie said

"Well luckily for me I have an amazing family so if I don't succeed I have a legacy to back me up"

"We never turn our back on family no matter what" daddy added and Henry glared

"So pastor which religion do you practice"

"Call me farfar its Swedish for grandpa. We practice Protestantism. Are you religious"

"Yeah im Roman Catholic"

"Well isn't it unfortunate you ended up with my brother"

"How so"

"Well their relationship doesn't very much align with your beliefs"

"You're right but I'm not God so it isn't my place to judge. They love me unconditionally and they're amazing people. The only thing unfortunate is your attitude towards your brother. You're really missing out" She scowled at me

"That's no way to talk to your elders child"

"And that's no way for her to talk in general Pastor"

"Enough Wyatt it's not your place as a child to argue with adults. But thank you my little defender" daddy ruffled my hair

"I'm gonna go get ready for practice" daddy nodded and I ran upstairs
